I said in my last post that we'll essentially have to agree to disagree.

You can say whatever you want about me, but I'm making a choice of not being vaccinated after weighing my risks given my own personal circumstances and my own personal views.

You cannot say unequivocally that this vaccine will not harm me now or in the future. This is my choice. Please leave people alone and if you don't want the mandates anymore, vote differently in the future.
A year and a half into this and you're still on the "worry about yourself" bullshit. We all have to sacrifice our personal views when we start interacting with each other. Your views are not more important than someone else's health.

Also newsflash: nothing is guaranteed to not harm you, but we'd all be shitting on the floor and dying at 35 if we had this mindset about modern medicine. There are risk you are forced to endure every day to ensure both your life and the continued operation of society. But suddenly everyone is a fucking rebel and will literally piss down your throat if you tell them not to.

There is still a lot that is unknown about COVID-19. The vaccine is still not fully approved. There are people with otherwise healthy immune systems having adverse reactions to the vaccine. Vaccination is a personal choice, especially considering the high survival rate of this virus.

As the link below points out, don't worry about it. You're vaccinated. I personally do not want to take the risk of something else happening when I'm not in an at risk group for death due to COVID.

Are there documented instances where people have died because hospitals could not fulfill emergency situations? Hospitals generally operate on priority status, so I find it hard to imagine someone suffering an emergency is turned away.

I'm sure you can provide plenty of links yourself, but at the end of the day, this is an evolving situation and there is still plenty of unknowns. People have access to the shot if they want it. I'm not taking it.

"The creation of a vaccine for any new virus could also cause additional mutations.

Any virus is going to try to keep changing, so it can continue to spread. For COVID-19, that means well likely see more new variants. Thats natural and expected. Dont be too worried about it, the vaccine should help keep us safe."

https://www.unitypoint.org/article.aspx?id=db428f77-6e61-497b-91ce-1317a3396dd8
"There's a lot of unknowns about COVID-19, but fuck that I'm only worried about the unknowns of the vaccine."

The virus has killed and hurt far more people than the virus, but those numbers don't worry you. The vaccine would have to be the most unique and dangerous one in the history of the world to start hurting millions of people a decade down the road. You're perpetuating the weird lie that they're just shoving unknown substances into syringes and hoping they don't kill everyone. You don't understand what emergency authorization is, or that they have been studying SARS and coronaviruses for 20 years. You aren't even actually thinking for yourself. You just trust the non-experts who tell you to not trust the experts. Your link also says vaccines are safe.

You can stop saying for everyone to worry about themselves when this entire ordeal exists because we refuse to care about anyone more than ourselves. You and I don't actually matter as individuals on this scale. We need to think about the collective.

Hospitals get overrun and how do you prioritize emergencies when you don't have enough people to handle the sheer number of emergencies? I don't know about you, but I hate the idea of causing death penals because selfish people don't care who lives and dies as long as they can feel proud they didn't care about public health because fuck the man.

If you believe the information, apparently for the most part the only people being hospitalized are the unvaccinated, who have mostly chosen not to be vaccinated. So why do you care? If you're vaccinated, why do you care? If you can still get sick from a vaccinated person like you can an unvaccinated person, why do you care?

This virus will not destroy our society on its own, our politicians are doing that with their mandates and forced lockdowns.

You got your shot. Wear your mask if you want to or are being forced to because you live in a state where people voted for Democrats. Do whatever you think you need to do to feel like you're protecting yourself --- leave me alone and let me do what I feel like I need to do.
It doesn't matter what you or I want to do. These choices are not personal. Not being vaccinated allows the virus to mutate and get better at transmission and resistance. When someone, who is generally unvaccinated, gets sick, they go to the hospital, which has finite space, meaning there might not be room for everyone to be saved, whether or not they are even there for COVID symptoms. We do not live in a bubble. We don't get to pretend none of our choices affect anyone else. The vaccine allows everyone to beat this together, rendering it little more than a nuisance, but it requires cooperation.

Would you call it personal choice if you threw out toxic waste in the middle of a public square?

This is just demonstrably false, systemic racism certainly plays a part why certain minority demographics dont have higher rates of vaccination.
They're making terrible leaps in logic that don't line up with the reality of this situation. Bad shit happening in history doesn't prove there's something wrong with worldwide vaccines for a worldwide pandemic. Every pharmacy and every clinic are offering one vaccine for literally everyone. There is no racism here and maybe people that hate black people shouldn't use them as a tool to justify why it's their right to kill millions of people on earth.

Can you explain your logic to me? If I dont want the government making a law that requires everyone to wear a seatbelt but they do anyway so that means I shouldnt wear a seatbelt even if I want to? You understand I can desire to wear a seatbelt without simultaneously wanting the government to force everyone wear a seatbelt as well right? Or is that not possible?
Why would you be worried about a car crash? You're not going to choose to be in one, and statistically, you will never die in one.

Not really the best comparison. Wearing a seatbelt doesn't give me a chance of facing severe, debilitating and reactions that sometimes even lead to death (although rare). Wearing a seatbelt won't cause me to have side effects 5 or 10 years down the road that are unknown. My chances of surviving a car crash also probably aren't 99.7%.
"I'm okay with killing hundreds of thousands of people right now because I don't think I'll personally be hurt by COVID. I'm far more worried about the hypothetically possibility that this vaccine is time-delayed bomb that will take out the human race in 10 years. No I don't have any proof yet. "

I guess you don't need to worry about the vaccine given that society will be destroyed if your baseless fears wind up being correct.

Anyway, my point was that laws tell you to do a lot of things that have a less far-reaching consequences than being vaccinated. Public health is not up to the individual. If you want to be consistent, stop wearing your seatbelt and start circumventing every health and safety law in the book.

Personally, I think it's wrong to ban people from telling you to stop killing each other. You'd think anti-abortion conservatives would hate letting people harm other people due to their own poor choices, but I guess the already born don't have a right to life.

So what? I bet you'd want to make that a hate crime or something.

Another thing about these people is that they tend to be very patriotic and love America. The far left hates that because they tend to hate America as it exists and certainly as it existed in the past. Just look at hockeybub89 and any one of his hourly meltdowns about how shitty America is. To them America is a terribly racist, sexist, homophobic place that discriminates against everyone who isn't a white male. Sometimes they even try to burn it down. Except these immigrants become successful and so they don't fall their hate indoctrination and leaps of logic.
But I am super thankful to live in America. What makes it great is that we can openly shit on it without any repercussions and demand more and more from our government.
