Oh god fuck that Wizrobe room lmao. Pretty sure I just went into blind panic and mashed sword until somehow everything was dead besides me. Levels 5 and 6 of Second Quest in particular felt like repeated kicks to the dick.

Will try to at least knock out Gerudo Fortress tonight. Probably my favorite stealth section of any Zelda game.

Water Temple done, very much feel like its difficulty gets overstated tbh. Going to be doing all the shit for the Biggoron Sword before heading into the Shadow Temple. Probably my least favorite part thing to do in the game, but eh.

Definitely, although it is definitely one of the games I'm most worried about halting the marathon. I enjoyed it more than enough on first play, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up on a second go when I've already explored the world before. If nothing else, should be interesting to be able to freshly compare its world to BotW2's, though.

Found some time today. No dungeons done, but up to the start of the Fire Temple after some piece of heart/Poe/skulltula hunting and general prep.

Tomorrow is unlikely, very busy day ahead, Sunday is my flight back so hopefully I can get up through the Water Temple.

Also figure I may as well put this up to vote: Shadow or Spirit Temple first? Kinda waffling on this one.

Forest Temple finished, contender for best dungeon in the series. Too bad Phantom Ganon was a joke; I just kinda stood underneath him and blindly mashed, and he never hit me, with all but one of the cycles having him not even reflect the attack back at me. I seriously wonder how I ever had trouble with this fight sometimes.

Have now reached adulthood. Jabu-Jabu is such a great dungeon concept, but always ends up feeling oddly short to me for some reason. Still a good dungeon overall though.

LTTP still holds up tremendously well; it's still better than most 2d games made today. Every time I play it it's a reminder of how great it was, and how awesome it is that it's linear story-based in a time when people wanted to drag out all your gaming hours out over high scores, endless grinds, and super high difficulty games.

Miyamoto and his teams are still king.

Still my favorite of the franchise to this day.

It's in, but you can also do it while running so it doesn't slow down the gameplay. Also looks like enemy health is lower so it's less necessary.

Link's Awakening main quest finished, got my good animu Marin ending. Still have some stuff to do that only unlocks in postgame though, so it might be another day before I get going on Ocarina.

I swear this game gets better every time I play it. Helps that even though I usually hate minigame stuff in Zelda games (trust me, I'll have opinions about these things as they become more prevalent), I actually really enjoy the fleshing out of the fishing and raft games, as well as the dungeon maker (even though that really falls short of what it could be). Trendy game is still bleh though.

Speaking of opinions, time to vomit one out:

LttP > LA > Zelda 1 First Quest > Zelda 2 > Zelda 1 Second Quest

Yeah, my usual order is Palacee of Darkness (mandatory to do first) > Thieves Town (Tempered Sword) > Skull Woods (already in the area, Fire Rod is nice) > Swamp Palace (because I'd rather have the hookshot than try to bomb jump past needing it in Ice Palace) > Misery Mire (Somaria) > Ice Palace > Turtle Rock.

But even taking getting to skip the big "puzzle" of Ice Palace into account, fuck that dungeon.

5 minutes tops for Skull Woods when you know where you're going.

And I can't agree with the premise here just on the idea that Swamp Palace (what you're calling the Water Palace) is somehow better than all of the dungeons that come after it, especially Skull Woods and Thieves Town.

Ice Palace can go fuck right off though, obnoxious dungeon.

Up to the entrance of Catfish's Maw now. Marin following along with you before Angler's Tunnel is probably low-key one of my favorite bits in any Zelda game.

The new trendy game physics are so fucking wild though, I had an item pop backwards out of the claw when it should have just dropped to the conveyor belt. I have no idea how that game got through QA and I don't know if I love or hate it.

Started LA, beat the first dungeon without managing to die to Moldorm this time. First time through the Switch version I never really noticed slowdown, but I'm definitely feeling it a lot more this time for some reason, especially in Mabe Village. Maybe I should switch to docked for this.
