Is that really a thing or is even forbes fear mongering to scare off new traders.

If anyone can clarify more I'd really appreciate it - I was under the understanding that end of year you will be taxed on total profit, and if you're total profit is negative you can write off ~$3000/yr as long as your sales for losses were not wash-sales.

I thought wash-sale losses still reduce your total tax bill (because it reduces your profit) but you just cant roll those losses for future tax breaks.

Any clarification can help - really dont feel like paying a CPA for quick questions but probably will have to

Business Admin, we didnt have a thesis but everyone in the business program had to do this 100 page project (~60 pages of pure writing) where you do a complete analysis of two companies in the same industry and recommend investing or not. The instructors kept calling it our college thesis even tho it technically wasnt.

I chose ATVI and TTWO. Both ended up performing well and I recommended ATVI over TTWO.

When I worked at Enterprise RAC I was surprised to see how many people didnt own a credit card and how many people got denied because they couldnt afford the $200 security deposit

Also the less educated they were the easier they were to scam. I was shocked at how many people are clearly not doing well but are willing to spend an additional $45/day without much consideration

Today was a rough day for me.

I got out of a 35 put on FUBO for a loss of $35 last friday

Turned around and sold a weekly 30 put of FUBO to get my $35 back (and another $30)

Last 2 days it crashed hard all the way to 21 and had to take a $800 loss to not bag hold

Now I got another 30 put locked in for 2 months @ $1030

Truly wasnt expecting it to get that bad in 1 week after it already had been crushed all month

Expect to pay $48+ (on a $40 eighth but they'll likely have 50-60) minimum based on the 13% tax + 8% state

Street prices will go way down to compensate tho and hopefully in a few years dispensary prices also go down with the influx of supply
