As far as scariest, I'd say Hexxus' transformation into the glowing skeleton near the end of the film in 1992's FernGully: The Last Rainforest.

I skipped the final conflict with Ursula at the end of 1989's The Little Mermaid several times after watching it the first time. When I was 4, I watched it in the pediatric ward of the hospital with my roommate. I asked her if she wanted to skip that part too because it was scary, and she agreed. According to my parents, she never had any visitors. I think about her from time to time, and still hope she's okay.

Honorable mention goes to Professor Screweyes from 1987's We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story. That glint of light off his screw eye was freaky, plus he was mean.

What scared me amounts to mild peril most of the time. I got very stressed out by chase scenes before I understood the concept of 'plot armor'. I worried about the mice in the Rescuers, I worried about the golden eagle and her eggs in Rescuers Down Under, etc.

I never got too sucked into podcasts, but A History of Italy was fun for the time I was listening to it.

A History of Italy: A weekly podcast in 15/20 minute episodes on the history of the Italian peninsula from the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the present day.

Aside from the facts, there are some acted-out sketches to illustrate the relationships between the historical figures which I found humorous, but YMMV.

AAI1-2: Turnabout Airlines

We determine that the iFly statue was missing its hat, found in the gift shop display case. We keep poking around there. The glass was broken from the inside of the case! Mr iFly was taken from the case after it fell out during turbulence.

The murder happened before the turbulence, ruling out Mr iFly as the murder weapon. Cammy Meele reveals that Ms. Rhoda Teneiro has the keys to everything, so she could have grabbed anything out of the display case without having to break things.

Not sure what all this means, but we'll look again during lunch. See you then!

Almost never. I used to have 4-6 oz of Coca-Cola with breakfast every morning, in a wine or martini glass. Then some more with lunch, then maybe something caffeine free with dinner. September 2020 I quit cold turkey, and only had my first sip of ginger ale a couple weeks ago.

Ginger ale is gonna be my exception, but only if I'm out to reduce my consumption [since I know many restaurants don't carry it]. I won't buy it to have at home.

AAI1-2: Turnabout Airlines

Edgeworth determines that Mr Lablanc's clock was set to another time zone, opening up the window on our time of death. Another flight attendant shows up, a hot mess named Cammy Meele. Why is she so dishevelled? Cammy's got dead eyes, a wide grin, a teddy bear, and her uniform is unbuttoned to reveal her decolletage. She has Larry Butz's thinking sprite, which is hilarious. Cammy claims to have seen Mr Hicks in his seat at 5AM, since there was refueling and everyone returned to the plane.

We determine that the little iFly piggy bank was in the shop briefly before the turbulence at 5:40AM. Ms Teneiro gets called out by Cammy for not having permission to fully investigate. Ms Teneiro storms off in a huff.

What's going on? Cammy's in charge? Let's buckle up for a wild ride. See you next time!

AAI1-2: Turnabout Airlines

We're able to prove our innocence to flight attendant Ms Teneiro, at least enough to get her to remove our handcuffs [oh, darn!]. We meet a rich guy named Zinc Lablanc II, he's apparently an art dealer and English is his second language, after his native Borginian. He is Not Having It with trusting Edgeworth, but the captain allows Edgeworth to investigate the crime scene provided Ms Teneiro supervises.

Many things were knocked over during the earlier turbulence, but we find some good clues [spilled grape juice with footprints leading out of the elevator, plus a rare collectible of the iFly airline's mascot with fresh blood on it matching our victim's blunt force trauma to the back of his head].

Ms Teneiro isn't super bright but she is perky, and that's what matters.

Edgeworth figures out that the killer must have been in the elevator with the victim, Mr Hicks. We gotta figure out how to win the confidence of the airline staff and build a case to save our reputation. See you next time!

AAI1-2: Turnabout Airlines

We speak to Ms Teneiro, the flight attendant. I'm realizing her hairbun is layered squares of hair. o_o Weird.

Apparently Ms Teneiro confused the travel wallet that Edgeworth picked up with the murder weapon, claiming it was dripping blood. Edgeworth points out that it is a wallet, not heavy enough to be lethal, and the dripping she witnessed? It was grape juice. You can still smell it on the wallet. The two investigate to see whose wallet it was - and it belonged to a Mr Akbey Hicks, according to the passport.

...The same Mr Akbey Hicks whose dead body we found in the elevator.

He is from Borginia. Bruh, awkward. Isn't that...

Ms Teneiro has more to say, so we'll get into that next time. See you then!

AAI1-2: Turnabout Airlines

It all started two days ago, on a plane at 9,000 feet...

Turbulence knocks over our dear prosecutor, leaving him unconscious for about 10 minutes. When he wakes, he finds someone else's travel wallet in his pocket, and when he finally works up the courage to settle down [turbulence resembles earthquakes] and use the elevator [Don't forget DL-6!] ...there's a dead guy in the elevator. And the dead guy is pretty handsome. [I will go for the glasses almost every time XD embarrassing, I know]

Since Miles Edgeworth was the one who found the body, and because the flight attendant claims to have 'incriminating evidence', he's the primary suspect. Now everyone's in a tizzy in first class bc of the murder, and Miles is sitting there, handcuffed behind his back, insisting on his own innocence. Ngl, this sprite of him leaning forward with his hands behind his back is making me feel some kinda way.

We'll listen to Ms Teneiro the flight attendant's testimony next. See you then!

AAI1-1: Turnabout Visitor

There's a note left by the victim under Portsman's door ['sorry I missed you, brought you some evidence' kinda thing], and the basketball hoop looks like it's been moved. The door to Mr Portsman's office is locked tight. Maggey admits she didn't actually lock it that night, so why is it locked now?

You take a look at Edgeworth's office door knob, and it's been wiped clean of prints. Hmmm...

We go back into Edgeworth's office and point to Mr Portsman being the culprit. He balks at this, insisting he never used the master key - but with Maggey, he did not personally have to. We point to the moved Basketball Hoop as evidence that the hoop may have been relocated to let Portsman into Edgeworth's office instead.

Portsman insists he was in his office the entire time, we present the Victim's Note, saying he missed Mr Portsman during his visit. This is dismissed as the two men just missing each other, and that Mr Portsman didn't notice the note upon entering his office. Mr Portsman makes an alibi for himself during the time the master key was missing, and Gumshoe is able to corroborate his story based on testimony from the officers down in Criminal Affairs.

Perhaps there was another person, other than the victim and his killer, who had entered Edgeworth's office? Upon pressing Mr Portsman, he reveals that Det. Buddy Faith brought 2 pieces of evidence related to an old case. However, according to the Victim's Note slid under Portsman's actual office door, Buddy Faith brought 3 pieces of evidence. We investigate on Portsman's person and find he was hiding a blood-stained VHS tape.

Portsman had tricked Maggey into letting him into Edgeworth's office. Portsman then poked around the secret safe and the files, which he put back incorrectly. Det. Faith comes along, leaves the note regarding the evidence, then is alarmed at noises coming from Edgeworth's office - someone who should be currently out of office. He investigates and Portsman snatches his gun, killing him to eliminate Faith as a witness. Portsman wrote Gumshoe's name in blood to try and pin it on him. Portsman then requested Maggey lock up, but she pretended to do so using her house key [the master key was missing at this time]. Portsman spends time in Criminal Affairs building his alibi.

Another thief entered the now-unlocked office of Edgeworth, ignored the body, stole the file they needed, and was about to leave when Edgeworth entered. There were some threats, a shot was fired, and the thief made off with the file, leaving it in the hallway after taking what he needed.

Maggey thanks Edgeworth, and Gumshoe talks about how Portsman is thought of as being generally corrupt. We wonder about the stolen file we found in the hallway. Apparently, the famous thief Yatagarasu left his calling card - this thief prefers to steal information on corrupt companies, and gives the info to the press to report on. This jogs Miles's memory about something that happened two days ago.

What happened? We'll find out next time! See you then.

We hear Mr Portsman out as he accuses Gumshoe of killing Det. Faith. Edgeworth points out that the missing file, if stolen by Gumshoe, means he would have seen his own name there. Plus the file was stolen after the murder.

A desperate Mr Portsman then attempts to push the blame off on one Ms Maggey Byrde, the building's security guard, because of course she is. For whatever reason, even though she refers to her many mishaps to Edgeworth later, Maggey seems a little bit more appealing this time around.

Portsman continues an incriminating series of assertions, and Maggey points out she couldn't have used the master key to get into Mr Edgeworth's office because it was not in her possession at that time. Portsman insists that between the missing file and the secret safe, Maggey's intent was thievery. Edgeworth points out this can't be the case as Maggey wouldn't have even known about the safe. Only a prosecutor would have known about it.

Portsman kicks us out into the hallway, where we find the missing file under a bench. We poke around various areas of the hallway, including the basketball hoop that Portsman keeps outside of his office. Maggey posits that Portsman had wanted Edgeworth's office, 1202, because his birthday is Dec. 2nd.

We find from examining the doors that the door plates can be moved easily. I suspect swapping occurred.

Maggey talks about letting Mr Portsman in to his office since he forgot his key and locking up when he left. Other than that, the key was missing during the appointed time. Hmmm...

Probs time for some Logic! See you tomorrow.

There could be a lot to unpack here - if the parties are occurring regularly, then there's regular smoking. The person does this in a group but it's not important enough to them to engage in alone, makes me wonder about their pushover quotient [speaking as a recovering pushover, it's overall not healthy - no matter whether we're talking smoking, recreational shopping, or fries/nachos].

Have had plenty of people in my life lose a lot to smoking and its effects, and I miss the ones that should still be around and aren't.

If you've smoked a couple times when you were younger to try it and found that it wasn't for you and stopped, I'm in the same boat and I get that. If it's something you return to when you're stressed or when you socialize, that's not gonna shake out with me.

I want the person I love to be as happy and healthy as possible. My idea of fun is mostly staying home/engaging in quiet activities, and my idea of stability is not spending a lot of money needlessly. Someone who needs to go out a lot, or needs [insert substance of choice here] in order to have fun...it isn't going to align very well.
