He should! It's not as bad as the internet makes it out to be, TBQH. It honestly reminded me a lot of ME1 in terms of jank and lack of polish and I'll always wonder about that alternate timeline where it got a polished sequel on the level of ME2.

I'm gonna replay it after ME3 to plat the whole series.

Depends on how you feel about the gameplay in stuff like DMC and Bayonetta. They're along similar lines, with more focus on gore and brutality than style. They're also for the most part harder than DMC and Bayo, although not quite as good in terms of pure gameplay enjoyment IMO.

I did Citadel after the Cerberus invasion, mostly to get access to the Armax Arena and the armors you get for scoring 9999 points.

Obviously you do the party itself right before the point of no return but actual mission slots in fine there. And you can go to the Silversun Strip on and off to do the interactions there throughout the game instead of all at once.

Not seeing the issue here considering they're both normal names.

You could do this with quite a few Batman characters, actually, with their last name becoming a middle name so that the kid doesn't have to use it and it's not immediately super obvious.

Hell even the Selina Kyle thing isn't that obvious considering the general public probably wouldn't recognize the name.

The voice acting in FFO is fine though, it's the writing that wasn't great.

ME3 has by far the best gameplay, especially on Insanity. The expanded biotic detonations and tech bursts system is great fun.

The ending is bad but everything leading up to it is good, and the whole "your choices don't matter!" thing is overstated, as the choices you made in ME1 and ME2 do actually contribute to the resolution of several story arcs throughout the game, they just don't contribute to the ending itself.

My prediction is that this takes place initially in one of the time loops where the Warriors of Light fail to defeat Chaos. I think it'll go through several loops until the finale when your guys are more recognizable as the WoL and finally win.

IIRC Ole Spangenberg was also using Nintendo money to buy shit off the books like cars and possibly drugs and hookers.

Dude was a grifting dirtbag and disappeared from the industry after The Guy Game.

The Avengers game had a decent story and single player campaign weighed down by all the GaaS stuff, if they dropped all that and focused purely on the campaign it would have turned out much better.

Makes me cautiously optimistic for this as it's not a GaaS game.

Capcom might have something for Dragon's Dogma 2, Itsuno moved on to that after DMC5 from what I remember.

Literally every other game they've made isn't smooth at all, though. And while Injustice 2 is by far their smoothest game, the animations are still pretty jank at times.

And their edgelord take on the DC Universe is so played out, I don't want to see the same nonsense infect Marvel.

I hope not, Injustice sucks. Not a fan of Netherrealm's janky ass animations and stiff controls, plus their edgelord Evil Superman schtick is super overdone at this point.

GotG has potential and I'm interested.

FF Nioh doesn't look as bad as everyone's saying IMO and they have like a year to polish it, I'll wait and see on that one. Nioh was decent enough so if they hit that benchmark they're golden for me.

They'd go through several wacky shenanigans as they fight to a standstill before they realize they're on the same side and team up against the badguys, leading to a fight scene of Jackie doing silly Jackie things while Batman yanks goons into the shadows and rafters doing the terrifying vigilante thing.

The original creator of the games refers to them as "stylish action" which is pretty accurate.

They're 3D adventure games with a focus on in depth combat and looking as cool as possible while fighting, to the point that you have a style meter that increases the more you vary your attacks in combat/hit multiple enemies at once/etc. It drops if you get hit, it starts degrading if you just spam the same move over and over, and you get an overall score at the end of each level based partially on said style meter.

DMC5 even has each character's battle theme dynamically tied to your style rank, so you get different parts of the song as you increase the rank, with the vocals kicking in at higher ranks. Feels super satisfying.

Generally the games control really well and feel great to play, with DMC1 feeling a little dated and DMC2 being terrible, but 3/4/5 are great fun. Story stuff tends to be very tongue in cheek over the top style, with some genuinely emotional bits here and there.

Bayonetta is similar with more of a focus on dodging.

Gotta disagree here. They cut ties with the Council well before the series started and retreated to Batarian space where they broadcast nothing but propaganda. Of course you're not going to see them when you're not hitting Batarian space, they're Space North Korea.

The only decent thing about Arrival is the lines from the enemies as you survive the five waves.

Everything else about is bad or boring, and Shadow Broker is superior in every way.

I still think Aerith is timeline aware along with Seph, and they both know that Seph killing Aerith is actually what screws his plan over in the original game, because Holy fails but she's in the lifestream to control it and stop Meteor.

So I still push my dumb idea of a wacky minigame or plot point that Seph actively has to protect Aerith, who is doing all manner of things to try to off herself.

For a more serious note, I'm most curious about the version of Seph that appears at the end that specifically was pointed out in the Ultimania to use a pronoun in Japanese that he only used prior to the Nibelheim incident. If it's some kind of pre-crazy Seph trying to right things that might be interesting, he was a decent dude before he went batshit crazy.

That is indeed a hot take, because Arrival is bad.

If they introduce a rival character it should just be Ganondorf.

Make him learn of Demise's curse and the fact that for all intents and purposes he's been driven and carried by someone else's hatred and destiny for millennia. I feel like he's the type of dude who would react to that with a "Yeah fuck that shit, my destiny is my own" and bam now he's teamed up with Link as a very antagonistic rival. Maybe do something early on to rid him of Demise's influence so it's truly the three Triforce wielders vs Demise.

I forgot how fun the Armax Arena is.

Gunning for that 9999 score to get the Cerberus Nightmare Armor before I move on to Omega and then the Quarian/Geth stuff. First time I've done the Citadel DLC story so early, still super fun fighting the last boss of it as an Infiltrator on Insanity. Brooks and CloneShep both being able to cloak is terrifying.

I too only hit the shot with an Infiltrator.

Everyone else I buy that Garrus might think you missed and he's the better shot.

Infiltrator Shep there's no way Garrus buys it.

I had a Paladin that was my go to pistol in multi.

I don't remember the name, but it was the class that pulled a shield out for melee.

That was the N7 Paladin Engineer, so you put a Paladin on your Paladin.

I remember the Eagle being decent normally but really really good if you have Marksman from Ashley.

And it was gnarly on the N7 Destroyer Soldier class in multi.

Snooping and making assumptions about people is also pretty unattractive TBQH

Punchguard probably works ok on normal but I can't see it being viable on insanity.

ME3 foreknowledge makes one outcome more preferable than the other in terms of the geth arc in that game.

Part of the issue is that with UberEats, customers can initially put a high tip in order to make an hour long trip more appealing to the driver, but then they can change it completely after the delivery. So people make it look like they're going to give a decent tip to get drivers to bite on a long drive rather than reject it and then just tip very little or not at all.

I've driven for them before and I usually wouldn't take long orders like that specifically for that reason.

Big fan of the Oddish line.

Joltik and Galvantula as well.

Probably my favorite two evolutionary lines.

Can you get all the "Use ____ 25 times" Trophies by manually selecting them from your allies? Because letting them automatically use them clearly doesn't count.

It does count, unlike in the original. But you have to have an actual target for most powers and can't just fire them off whenever. Fortunately the Citadel fast travel stations count as targets.

The only one this doesn't work for that I know of is AI Hacking, which has to be done on an actual enemy. Not sure if it has to be a synthetic to count. Neural Shock might be similar.

Last time I played I WAS an Engineer, and those moments were Christmas.

Sabotage works on them at all times, so they just made life simple.

Infils get Sabotage too and it's hilarious combined with the final cloak evolution that lets you use one power without breaking cloak.

You can do [Party Member] Loyalty + Legion Loyalty after the IFF and be okay. It's only 1 mission if you did all the Loyalty Missions prior to IFF in which case Legion will give his immediately and it's only 1 mission allowed. At least in the OG ME2.

I personally like to do Tali + Legion after IFF for that reason because bringing Legion to Tali's is amazing.

Also if you do all the loyalty missions and only have Legion's left and you activate the galaxy map before activating Legion it can bug out and kill your crew anyway.
