Prices went to shit overnight.

New job offer is $83,000, a 25% salary bump, but a less of a title and responsibility than you have now. It has long-term growth, but somewhat of an entry-level position. Less vacation time than you have currently (only 20 total PTO when combined with sick).

Current employer wants to counter with $92,500, but it doesn't have as much upward mobility and longevity is a slight concern. The work is not as fun and exciting as the new offer. You are close with the executive team though and should be safe from any future cuts. The vacation is essentially 2 days off each month with 22 days already banked.

Junior/Mid would be in the 90-115k range.

Yup my husband is working towards an associate degree and some cloud certifications. Though he has IT experience it was mostly desktop support stuff. Then he got a Linux certification and it bumped up his career quite a bit. Now hes added coding and looking at the cloud certs I mentioned. With no degree. Hes been doing well for himself but he learned everything on his own and it was a lot of work.

These salaries in what part of the country?

Well obviously it depends on the company but studies show that people who don't negotiate don't get paid as well as the people who do
Also the people who stick around the same company for more than 2(?) years are underpaid as well

I mean all of this makes sense. I just don't feel like I would have even known what the appropriate ask would have been because I have nothing to compare against. Not to mention that the offer was higher than what the recruiter said the salary range would be.

I applied and was not head-hunted. One of 4 final candidates. My past experience/skills translate to the role, but I do not have healthcare experience which they were looking for.

It's in healthcare. Honestly, it's unique and I can't even compare positions to it to see what even a going-rate would be.

Verbally accepted a job offer today.

When first speaking with the recruiter, he mentioned that the job was around $75-80k. I knew this because I filtered out jobs on Indeed and this job disappeared once I filtered 80.

The offer made was actually $83k. I'm used to negotiating but I felt a bit pressured and it was more than I was expecting. That said...most companies low-ball, so damn it, did I leave $10k or so on the table?

I mean I'm comfortable in my current role in my organization, but damn, it sucks to go so far on the few opportunities I care about to not get them.

One of them included a 5-hour straight interview. That fucking sucked.
