I don't get how these places have lines of customers going out the door but have like two people working the entire store. I'm seeing it EVERYWHERE.

99% of companies need to fuck off. The only reason they are failing is due to garbage management and how they're funneling all the money to the top instead of paying the employees.

Fishhook Theory is 100% true, I don't really understand how it's viewed as a joking thing.

Washington Post and New York Times favored Hillary over Bernie in 2016. But as soon as she won the nomination, they went straight to talking about her emails and suggesting that she and Trump are "same thing both sides." Then Democrats don't show up and Trump wins.

The multiverse stuff appeals to me a lot, but I'm a full on casual with the MCU. I have little interest in these next films if the phase after Thanos is going back to formula and villain of the week stories that don't connect to anything. There needs to be a unique creative hook like what Wandavision did. For me, it needs to get weird.

But I understand why big comic book guys and hardcore fans would probably rather see a pure movie about Spiderman vs The Rhino.

This isn't a trump card no matter how many times you repeat it.

There are cybercriminals all over the internet. That doesn't make it justified to shut down internet access for everyone to stop their activities. The costs would be too great.

It's like taking a list of 10 people, you know 1 committed murder and 9 are innocent but it's impossible to know who is who. Most people will say you have to let them all go, but there will be always some conservative tough guys who don't understand or don't care about due process and will throw all 10 in prison for life.

The argument is about scale and appropriate use of force that justifies the costs involved. This shouldn't need explaining.

There's one simple reason why these jobs don't get filled: entitlement.
Here's the real problem with this bullshit post. It's entitled employers, not workers.

I've never worked at McDonalds but I can imagine a few things about it. You need to be part of a team, provide customer service, be detailed with orders and multi-task. Those are good skills.

So you finish your degree and start looking for bigger jobs, but then it turns out the insurance companies or doctor's offices or law firms shockingly don't give a shit about your McDonald's experience. In fact, you're lower in their eyes for it and if you're smart will end up taking it off your resume. Either that, or you go can work for Wendy's.

This is the real problem. The employers aren't holding up their end of the bargain, everybody knows it. The United States has an unofficial caste system.

No you didn't.
Yes I did. Even for NYT it would be a difficult task to get this data for every single county in the U.S. so clearly they developed a methodology to estimate it. That's what the word estimate means. And it's fair to be critical of that methodology but when I was reading that thread, I was thinking that most of the points raised were just common sense. Do they think the author was unaware that the state level results were too "clean"? This kind of thing is expected in an approximation.

What's the big deal, or rather, what's your argument exactly? People in Tennessee want the vaccine just as much as in California?

The media sucks but it's never for the reason that conservatives think. This is just a flimsy gotcha.
