Anyone remember the 6 Dollar Burger from Carl's Jr/Hardee's?

When it debuted it was sold as "a 6 dollar restaurant burger for like 3.98".

And then just a short time ago they had to rebrand it, because the "6 Dollar Burger" now just cost 6 dollars. And that restaurant burger that was 6? Good luck getting it for under 10 now.

Prices go up regardless of pay hikes. They've increased steadily over the years while the federal minimum wage has stayed exactly the same.

But I have had a few moderations for "offensive material" that clearly did not contain any of the examples of "offensive material" listed in the rule. Then I'd dispute it, and still have the moderation upheld.

There's only one thing that irks me about this.

"Men are weak" - says woman who swore up and down for years that we'd never see her out of baggy clothes, as she now poses in lingerie.

I liked how she was sticking to the whole "not objectifying herself" thing. I didn't care one way or the other if she wore baggy clothes, and I respected her for wanting to get by on her talent instead of showcasing a pair of tits all over the place, especially considering she clearly has the assets to do it with.

In this day of Instagram and Twitch there are way too many women thinking the path to fame and fortune is booty shorts and low cut tops. Billie saying "nope" to all of that was a welcome change, IMO.

But don't call men weak for liking the female form, especially if you start parading yours all over the place after you cave on convictions that you were vehement about up until recently.

Thats what's happening now. I used to work in acute psychiatric care here in California. Red state's favorite discharge plan for mentally ill homeless people is "give them a one way bus ticket to California, because then they're their problem."

Of course! Now it's completely possible. The thing the heroes have been worrying about this whole time is now instantly solved.

It's like in Endgame when Tony tells Banner that it's impossible to actually create time travel, and then later he just gets up in the middle of the night, tries something out for a few seconds and is like, "Oh my god, it's possible." What a coincidence that Tony's programs had a way to do exactly what he needed and figure out the thing he said wasn't possible in just a matter of moments. I don't think even RDJ could believe how ridiculous the writing was getting. Watch his delivery of "surprise" when he figures it out. Like even he couldn't being himself to sell this bullshit.

Actually, when Tony is "solving" time travel with Friday you can see text on the hologram that indicates he's been working on it for years up to that point. That's why he was telling Scott "it's not possible", because he'd been trying and failing.

Tony didn't just throw in 30 seconds of work after getting Pete's picture wet and solve it.

That's ultimately even worse and kinda sending the "she actually wanted it" message. The overall message of the cartoon was that Pepe's behavior was okay as long as you smelled nice.

I remember one where he fell into blue paint or something, and the cat fell into a water barrel and came out looking.....well......like a drowned cat. He doesn't recognize her and walks away, and she looks at him leave and he looks swole, chest puffed out, triangle torso shape, the works. Then she starts chasing him and he runs from her because she looks like a wet mop.

When you're a kid you just think "haha he's running from her now!" But when you grow up you're like "wait, because he looks swole and doesn't stink now he's good enough. And because she looks bad now she's not good enough? That's fucked up."
