Since April 1, rather. On second thought $494 might not be the best place for a limit order. I feel like if it does break the $483 from January it'll go much higher than that. So probably little sense in setting a limit right above that.

I dont mean this in a crude manner, but I sincerely dont get why people put forth this much effort and endure the stress that comes along with it to make anything less than $1,000 a month. Thats why I asked those who had AMC whether they put in at least 25% of their portfolio into it.

Im probably just naive to how important a couple hundred dollars is to some people since I havent ever had to worry about money.

It doesn't necessarily take that much effort or stress. Plus, this thing is highly scalable. Investments compound exponentially.

After a while you get used to the swinginess and learn to mentally categorize investment/gambling gains and work income differently, or at least that's how it's been for me. The former are inconsistent and there can be losses, so I generally do not like to spend money from gains. All gains need to stay invested and who knows, there may be losses next. Because when there are losses, you can't unspend them.

I received a $1,000 incentive award at my job a few weeks ago. I was humbled that my effort and contributions were being recognized, but I couldnt care less about the $1,000. I literally scoffed to myself and said, I make more than that in a week selling calls. Thats when I realized that the stock market is just stupid.

I mean, at some point you'll be making enough in the stock market that you won't feel very motivated to work. This happens to a lot of people as they get older. That's the magic of capitalism.

Certainly, that's absolutely correct given that your assessment of the value of the stock hasn't changed. But on the other hand, given that it's still way below your target value, why sell all of it? Seems like it should still be a good value and worthy of some investment less than 10%.

Probably! I avoided the stock market and even retirement accounts that invest in stocks (except my pension) because I didn't want to pay commissions and then I didn't want to lose money. Then I couldn't get real estate and I'm like "uh I guess I can play with stocks, I have nothing better I can do with this to help improve my life"

It's okay. Investing is hard and it takes time and resources to learn. Better to learn lessons with smaller amounts of money than larger amounts.

At a glance, the only basis I can think of to challenge it federally is the republican form of government clause. I think you could make an argument that a state that invalidates 20 years of ballot initiatives on a stupid technicality no longer has a republican form of government. Probably not going to work though.

Im constantly debating best strategies for guaranteed money. Im really starting to think its just holding a few stocks that you really like and selling calls that shouldnt hit for added premium gains. This way you own the stock, enjoy its gains, and get premium. But i
this wouldnt work in a bear market.

There's no such thing as guaranteed money but if you are willing to drop the "guaranteed" part there's lots of opportunity to make money with a lot of strategies.

Hey is there anyone here well versed in law? Not even law really, but moreso courthouse scheduling. I'm curious if judges do paperwork like signing dockets when they don't have any upcoming cases related to said dockets?

Just did more DD on GVSI, looked through all the court dates, and saw nothing on the horizon for the GVSI case. But as I posted earlier, the judge wasn't scheduled for anything today. There was a 4 day period in which there was to contest the case and today marked the ending period. So I'm wondering if he might sign it Monday, outside of any hearings on the case, since he wasn't in today.

As a lawyer, speaking generally, yes, judges can sign orders outside of hearings. It's also common for hearings to be continued to a later date for some reason or another.
