Just looking at last year's timeline vs. this year, I think this is probably how the rest of the year plays out.

~August 11th: Videl (Kefla slot)
~August 29th: WWC (WWC slot)
~October 5th: Kid Gohan (TEQ Gohan slot)
~November 6th: Super Vegeta (Thank You slot)
~November 19th: SDBH (SDBH slot)
~December 4th: Gogeta (Tanabata banner)

It's possible that we get a global first or WWC or something like that during the Thank You celebration, and Super Vegeta gets pushed to the January slot, I guess.

Usually yes, but we also don't have any JP DDFs (currently) to fit into that slot because we got a worldwide golden week celebration. So unless we end up getting another worldwide one, I don't think this year's will be a DDF.

Yeah, there were a bunch of levels that were accessible by scanning e-Reader cards in the GBA version. They were actually pretty cool and probably deserved to make it farther than this!

Even the side unit 2nd form Cell seems like an incredible support for an Androids/Cell Saga team.

Damn, the new Super Vegeta seems kinda nuts. 170% Pure Saiyans lead, guaranteed crit on super, +200% ATK/DEF passive (250% if in slot 1), AND stuns?

Looks like the next JP Dokkanfest is actually Super Vegeta, so GT-themed WWC is out the window (probably). I doubt its another Cell Saga one, but Vegeta does use the form in the first Broly movie the Bojack movie, so a movie WWC seems likely.

I just really hope it isnt Broly + Gogeta. Give me like...Godku + Beerus or something.

Managed to barely scrape by the EXT TEQ ESBR. I thought for sure I was very dead multiple points in that run, barely hanging on with >10k HP multiple times. Glad to never have to do that again.

Thanks! Didn't get it done the first try, I brain farted on Raditz's stun passive during the 3rd fight and got nuked. Might need to rework the team a bit, but it seems theoretically doable.

And just to further clarify, I'm not against digital-only cards in principle. I actually think the perpetual mechanic is fairly interesting and a fun space to play in.

I think random formats like Momir are fine! Those kinds of things are cool in other modes that are removed from regular constructed queues.

Also I think it's pretty clear from the past few years that they don't actually care about pro-level games, so it's hard for me to trust them in that regard.

I don't want to come off as too negative here, I'm just sort of bummed because I was enjoying historic as a format (especially given the trash fire Standard has been for two years), and this is just...not what I want to see in the format at all.

Even if none of these cards specifically end up being that great (there are still like 22 more), the fact that they are going in this direction just isn't for me. I mean, it is what it is. It's just not how I really wanted Historic to go.

And I don't like the dice rolling either! Even if they aren't constructed playable.

As I sort of suspected, the digital-only stuff is very Hearthstone-like, and it just injecting more randomization into the game, which I'm not really a big fan of.

Finished up doing the summons I was planning this morning. Got a few more LRs, including two more Frieza dupes. No dupes of 17, which is what I was hoping for, but so be it. Maybe Ill get lucky with tickets before the end of the banner.

Another card the victim of being too good. Griselbrand is THE reanimation target as getting Griselbrand lets you draw into all of your other action.

The second modern deck I ever built was Grishoal Brand where the combo was to reanimate Griselbrand and use


To gain enough life to draw your deck.

The deck wasnt good. After dropping $600 on it I took it to one tournament, proceeded to go 0-3, and felt kind of dumb.

Nevertheless Griselbrand is still a cool card.

excuse me, I went 12-3 with that deck at a GP once (granted it was the neoform version which was way better than the original goryos vengeance version)

Yeah, I think the 3D games are just a little too long. LttP hits the sweet spot for me where once you're reasonably skilled it's never going to take more than 2 hours.
