But she barely had boobs in the original SJ.

Which is my point. She had proportionate breasts that didn't call attention to themselves, and yet the creators still made a point to get rid of them. Why is that?

That's not what you said. You said they were humans with animal traits. Huge difference.

You took it too literally. My point was that arguing "real bunnies don't have boobs" is silly because these characters are anthropomorphized, which means they're meant to EFFECTIVELY be human.

what the fuck are you talking about

She was a somewhat sexualized character, but had normal breasts that weren't distracting. They corrected her by taking away the sex appeal. They over-corrected by taking away her boobs. Having boobs doesn't automatically mean a character is sexualized.

Because every other character was not controversial for being over sexualized, and her having perky rabbit titties was part of that

So we've already addressed that her boobs weren't even designed to be distracting. But just for you, here is a picture of OG Lola Bunny:

And here is how she looked in some of the Warner Bros. comics after Space Jam:

What exactly about this design do you consider offensive?

She does to me. She looks like a lot of women basketball players I've seen. You also seem to be under the impression that if you can't see her breasts protruding then they aren't there.

We can both plainly see that she is now as flat as Bugs Bunny himself. There's not even the slightest bit of protrusion in the chest area. Here are Kim Possible characters in cheerleading outfits:

by your logic, they would suddenly look more athletic if they didn't have boobs. Your line of reasoning is confusing.

My question is why the deliberate decision to remove her boobs in the first place, especially when every other character looks the same as they did in the first movie.

The answer is kinda obvious. She now looks like a lot of athletic women, where you don't see there breasts a pronounced (mostly due to the type of clothes they wear and, also, due to their body types.)

You can still tell she's female so accentuating her boobs doesn't matter.

She doesn't look more athletic now.

The creators are on record saying they deliberately sought to mitigate Lola's sex appeal. Now, she doesn't have boobs. I'm asking why having boobs at all is apparently considered "sex appeal". Her original design isn't what some people found "offensive" about the character.

Lola Bunny was deliberately characterized with sex appeal in the original Space Jam. That's what made her "furry bait" for many; not the sole existence of her boobs.

purposeful design choice

that cartoon females must have boobs and eyelashes, no matter to what extent anthropomorphized, is a bit outdated

How so? By and large, most female characters have boobs. The size of and/or attention given to the boobs is what typically determines how "sexualized" they are.

I get it; she had too much "sexy" energy in the original. Fair enough. It was never that bad IMO, but whatever. They tone it down. But now she has like...no bosom whatsoever. Her chest is as flat as Bugs'. Why? Her chest was never exaggerated to begin with. By denying her boobs at all, they ironically push a "breasts = bad" message that's just as problematic as the "female = sexy" message they sought to go against.

I've already laid out what confirms that. There doesn't need to be a literal conversation with the question "Did you gain her consent?" and a "yes" or "no" for the scene to be unambiguous.

Yes, and it was finely disputed by rebirth. The context of the conversation was why Marlene was willing to allow the operation if she truly cared about Ellie. Nothing to do with consent.

If Joel is assuming, it's with more than sufficient evidence to be certain. I see no conceivable way it wouldn't cross his mind with how blatantly obvious it is given Marlene's attitude and Ellie's absence.

Literally nothing about Marlene's attitude changes with or without Ellie's consent; Joel would still threaten her, Ethan would subdue him, and things would go exactly as they did. And anyway, as several others have pointed out to you numerous times, Joel was not motivated by whether or not Ellie gave consent, so what's even your point?

Either way I'm tired of the argument, and I have better things to do now.

Yeah yeah, we'll see how true that is.

No he didn't, but you're welcome to try and point out where I'm wrong.

You're wrong when you say Joel knew Marlene hadn't gained consent from Ellie in their first conversation, because nothing confirms that. At best, Joel is assuming; at worst, the thought didn't even cross his mind. Either way, rebirth is right because you're arguing from inference but pretending it's indisputable.

Yeah bro, you were too desperate to bust a nut and it clearly guided your decision-making (didnt help that you were trying to be sneaky about it). What are shows, movies, video games, etc. that you feel should have stopped after a certain season/installment, because it just felt like the series had run its natural course and didn't need to continue?

For me, Ratchet and Clank. A Crack in Time would have been a great note to end the series on, and for a while, it seemed like that was the plan. But then All 4 One happened...and then Full-Frontal Assault...and then Into the Nexus...and then Before the Nexus...etc.

Dragon Ball. It really had nowhere to go after Frieza. Goku had already defeated multiple martial arts masters, the world's most powerful army, received training from God himself, finally learned about his species, battled aliens, and thwarted the most powerful being in the known universe after becoming a literal living legend. What next? More Red Ribbon Army, but the robots are somehow stronger than Frieza? Multiple forms of super saiyan and everyone being capable of it, despite that it was supposed to be a once-in-a-millennium standalone thing? Magic monsters that turn people into chocolate? Come on, bro. Shit's so forced.
