Kevin Smith could have learned some valuable lessons from the Witcher series. In it, the most powerful non-sorcerer at the beginning of the series was arguably Geralt of Riveria and for the most part the story centered on him... And Ciri, his protege, apprentice, unofficial adopted daughter. Geralt was clearly impressive but the writers were able to grow Ciri into an impressive and arguably much more powerful warrior than Geralt without ever in the slightest diminish Geralt in the process. Geralt was Geralt from book one until the end of the series and Ciri was someone who was learning who she was through immense challenges, growing more and more powerful while still showing vulnerability. While still being able to show compassion and humility. It's probably totally unrealistic to expect Kevin Smith to develop a character in this manner though and he did something to his capabilities.

Or he should've said nothing.

Yeah but the show was really only on the air for two years (84 and 85.) By the time 86 came around the show was dumped to like 7am in most markets. Most kids shows dont last past the 2 year mark. It just seems longer because youre a kid. Two years is a significant chunk of your life back then. Hell, in reality G1 Transformers only lasted about 3 years.

Didn't they make she Ra and the specials as well?

2 years is the average run for most kids cartoons. Filmation only had two seasons.

But I remember seeing the 2002 series on CN for like a couple months maybe and then it never was in my concious ever again. Wasn't the filmation series reran over and over throughout the years?

How long was 2002 seriest on the air though? Like 2 yrs max?

Most people should not be trusting anything Kevin Smith claimed, he sold out a while ago and he is no longer the man he once was.

Knowing how he is no one should be surprised that there was a shift in who the main character is now, and for fans of He-Man they should know that this was going to be wrong as Hollywood is pushing politics and PC material.

I think this thing is being blown outrageously out of proportion. Having watched it it seems pretty clear their intention was to have He-Man move out of the way for a few episodes to develop everyone else and then have him appear in the end. Just seems like theyve been fed over by Netflix because only half the show is out.

And Netflix promoting he-man prominently in the advertising.

I am not a He-Man fan so I am not standing up for He-man. But he lied then went after Youtubers who said the show was going to be able Teela . I dislike the Youtubers he went after they are some people who complain about the "wokeness' and stuff. But overall they are harmless and not as bad as GG and the Quartering. But he went after these people . HE called them out, called them bad journalist, attacked him on his platform getting other people to go after them. ( he didn't say go after him but he knew it would happen). And then he lied. And now he is doubling down telling others to grow up.

The only reason he is where he is at now is because the people who held love for all these old IPs. He made a movie that talked about geek things in the 90s and people still giving him work because of that. He is a bad writer.
