Huh not sure why you got offended at that but ok. Didnt meant to come off as judgmental. Im well aware that parents are able to safely cosleep. But they usually advocate for things like no blankets or pillows, etc. for the reasons I mentioned above.

And my daughter is getting her vaccines per schedule.

But Ive had my feelings that most of what you post is bullshit for some time now. Have at it.

and i think thats fair. i think its about risk, and not what doctors make it seem like it is.

healthy baby, no complications, full term, etc. little risk.

other people can't say the same, so yeah be cautious

but its not like babies will instrictively grab a pillow in their sleep and smother themselves to death
Has nothing to do with how healthy your baby is. Infants arent able to move something thats suffocating them, like a blanket for example. They arent able to roll out of the way of things. Also parents can and do roll on top of their babies. There are ways to make co sleeping safer from what I understand. But again has nothing to do with healthy baby or not.

I have that same snuggle me. My baby hated it. I only used it for naps though. Its meant for supervised sleep only. There is still a risk a baby can move to the side and suffocate.

I know there are lots of parents that advocate for safe co sleeping but I just couldnt risk it. I just always made sure that as soon as she fell asleep she was down in her bassinet so she didnt get too used to my arms. We do have contact naps here and there but generally shes laid down to sleep somewhere safe.

Of course not. My husband had a say in every decision. Sure he didnt want a big wedding at all but he wanted me to be happy. But we picked out everything together except for decor and stuff where he just didnt care. His family loved our wedding so much, they still talk about it to this day and my husband is really happy we went through with it and made it memorable for them.

can't wait to see how CE defends this.

What did I defend exactly? I just think the focus should be on the employees who are fighting to be heard. In the first one, she doesnt name anyone just makes statements from years ago. Could be true or not. But I feel like it detracts from the real issues going on now.

I hope the employees continue to fight this. This isnt isolated to games. Ive had a creepy old man rub my shoulders at my desk at some small company. Ive had clients joke about dating me or joke about having me sit on their laps while on business trips with my colleagues, who sat there and laughed about it. Ive had male colleagues be given more resources and training while I had user manuals to read. Ive been passed up for promotions in favor of white men who did not perform better than me. I was denied a promotion for being pregnant though I cannot prove it with how the system is set up now.

People are just pointing fingers at Blizzard but its everywhere and there needs to be meaningful change.

The first one is a bit of a toss up. Im sure it happened. But she didnt report it until 2 years later and doesnt name who she actually spoke to.

The second one, while creepy af, had swift action taken as soon as it was found out.

It feels like people are looking to get their 15 min of fame. The real issue is about the systematic sexual harassment and discrimination against employees at the company that HR allowed to continue. Both women and men have been victims. It just feels like the media is digging for whatever and some people just want to jump on the bandwagon.

Im glad they are being called out for this shit finally. I have sources that have confirmed rampant sexual harassment and discrimination there. To the point they quit because HR wouldnt do anything about it and just made it out like they were the ones causing issues.

I hope this trend of exposing these companies continues. I used to be an engineer as well and faced rampant sexual harassment. I had a client joke that I should sit on his lap while we were at a work lunch, in front of my male coworkers who sat by and chuckled at it. Can this topic not turn into some debate of the diets? I think people should just stick to what works for them. Veganism isnt for me but I fully appreciate that it works for others. In any case, Id like to keep this topic positive.

Yesterday I didnt workout at all and also ate like crap. Was just out and about all day and we hit up a place we love that we hadnt been to since the pandemic. But I made sure to eat carefully the rest of the day.

I may have to step away from exercising or tone it down. I am experiencing some cramping and spotting even though Im 2 weeks away from my period. Need to call my doctor about it. I did have a c section 3 months ago but maybe Im not ready for this level of exercising and I may just stick to walking and something lighter.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this was 7 weeks EGA. Im an OBGYN and it is kind of ludicrous to demand pregnancy accommodations at 7 weeks, although you would hope an employer would work with you. The most common cause of early pregnancy loss, especially the mid first trimester (about 1-2 weeks after people find out theyre pregnant much like this woman), is due to a genetic anomaly associated with the pregnancy
Why should it be ludicrous? Its ludicrous that its not a given, especially in the first trimester when the rate of miscarriage is higher. In Canada, she would have automatically been placed on leave without jumping through any hoops at all. My friend worked at Benjamin Moore and she was placed on immediate leave after discovering her pregnancy because of the dangers of paint fumes. My sister in law is a daycare manager and was also placed on immediate leave so as not to be exposed to sick children. Americas attitude towards working pregnant women is what is really ludicrous.

If she had family members you do all you can to save the baby over caring about bills as family is suppose to help when your in a really bad situation. Her doctor should have been the first stop to inform what was happening and where she can go for emergency help, housing, etc.

She had cousins working there, live with them in the short term, whatever it takes to keep that baby alive.

Hell I did not go in to work when my pet was sick, and my parent was in the hospital, did I get fired ? yes but I gave zero fucks because my family came first. The pets are still alive, my parent is healthy again, and I got a better job. Never sacrifice for a job when shit that matters more is at stake.
You dont know anyones financial situations. Maybe those cousins cant afford taking her in for an indefinite amount of time. Maybe her parents are shit heads. Maybe her family relied on her income to support them.

Im glad things worked out for you and you have strong family support. I do too and I appreciate that. But I also understand its not everyones situation and it can be easy to just point fingers. The bottom line is this is a common practice against women in a highly vulnerable position and more attention needs to be given to it so it can be changed.

Easy to say but she most likely has bills to pay. Its not feasible for everyone to just quit a job with nothing else lined up. And these sorts of cases can take months, even years to battle.

I opted not to send it since I work from home and was able to phone it in enough.

Also california pregnancy disability leave allows you to leave 4 weeks from your due date but I had to battle my insurance to pay for it. They required a ton of documentation from my doctor. Initially denied it but then I got additional paperwork from my pain care doctor that outlined a history of treatment. It took weeks to get it approved. They make you jump through so many hoops.
