I was really lucky and somehow ran it on my (non gaming) laptop with World Adventures, Season, Pets and multiple stuff packs on highest settings, I've read others have to use certain mods to make the game stable or run at all on higher spec machines, the game would sometimes crash if I went to mapview though, but saving often seemed to "fix" it, it is ridiculous that some have to disable packs to play it, makes getting them pointless That said, I cannot run Sims 4 on highest settings on the same laptop, the min specs used to be lower but they raised them as the game has been updated so much, for both games I think having a good PC is a must if you want to get the most out of them --- Drink up me hearties, yo ho |

| KookyCouture 07/11/21 5:53:25 AM #11 | Depends what you want from the games, Sims 3 has the full open worlds but they are huge and can be a chore to navigate, a lot of it is just scenery to explore as well - Sims 4 is semi open world so it runs smoother and you won't get lag when exploring with the camera or your sim - I think the base games of both have plenty for your sim to do, Sims 3 comes with one world, whereas Sims 4 has three, they are both fun in their own way but at some point you'll want expansion packs whichever you decide to get so you'll have new stuff to do in game - if graphics are your thang, then 4 looks amazing over 3, its also the more stable to run of the two as 3 can have issues with crashing as it was never optimised cjsdowg posted...
