None of the cases focus on her but yeah, she's in the rest of the game. She's much better in this game though. As I've mentioned, I didn't trust her at all in 1-5 to the point of thinking she might still be a villain herself at first and I thought she was great in this game. But you need to play the rest of the game anyway since the cases are universally better.

Hmmmmmmmmm I guess I'll keep going now that I've milked WarioWare pretty dry. Especially since it sounds like case 2-3 is pretty good.

Ngl but once I found out that Gina comes back for GAA2, it killed my ambition to play the game. I finished Case 2 but that was it. I can't stand her and personally is like in my bottom 5 characters in Ace Attorney.

Does she play a big role in the rest of the game? Can someone help put my fears to rest? I haven't touched the game in 2 weeks cuz of it. (Though also cuz of WarioWare)

This, more or less. There's only so much suspension of disbelief I can muster for an Ace Attorney game. Having a character that repeatedly assaults people in the court, including the fucking judge himself, is too far. Or at least when it happens over and over again, for multiple characters.... Yeah.

I guess I'll post my thoughts on stuff.

1-3 Magnus is seriously one of my favorite character they've ever done in the series. His design is great, his creepy music is great. And his story, man! They did such an excellent job of making you as a player go from siding with him and really defending him the way Ryunosuke does, to being like "What an absolute bag of shit." And then wasting no time in offing him right after the trial was badass.

1-4 Natsume is another favorite of mine. Love the animations on the dude, he's such a neurotic fuck lol. The actual trial itself was kinda eh. Was really weird having two cases almost back to back that were just "Whoopsies! Accidentally killed/injured someone!" Like, I was really disappointed they didn't make better use of the fact the victim didn't die. I can't recall them doing that in any other AA cases, and it was a really cool twist. I thought for sure she'd show up eventually, but nope! She may as well have been dead. It had virtually no bearing on the story.

1-5 I legitimately hate the majority of this case. The opening goes on for-fucking-ever. The trial itself goes on and on just like all the others. But it's another situation that we all have of "I already figured out what happened" and waiting for the game to catch up to your realization. I liked the stereoscope stuff. I assume it was a relic from being a 3DS game. Even so, I had fun doing the magic-picture thing and seeing the 3D effect IRL.
I went from loving Grayson to hating him by the end. I love his design. Dude is basically a JoJo villain haha. Turning him from absolute bastard to tragic villain you're supposed to feel sorry for really ruined the character for me though. And also, once again, another death that was an accident. What the hell is up with that? I feel like they realized they hadn't done many accidents-turned-murder in the series, and then decided to use it here, but kept forgetting they did, and ended up with 3 different instances of it lol.

The stuff Gregson felt really tacked on, and like most of the cases in the game, it was annoying how you have the ultra "Aha!" moment, but then the game introduces some other bullshit to make you work another hour for it.

also fuck Gina. What an irritating character. I felt absolutely nothing for her lol.

Ending was whatever. As I mentioned before, I really feel bad for anyone who played the games originally and didn't know they'd be getting a sequel immediately. So many loose ends. Ending on a weird cliffhanger. I know it'll be wrapped up in GAA2, but really shitty to do something like reveal a list of names of people you know, and be like "This was of utmost national security!" Looking forward to seeing what that's all about. I assume something to do with the fact the Russian villain was a juror for no reason whatsoever lol.

Went from loving the game in the first two cases to just liking it in 3 and 4. By case 5, I was burned out and skipping half of the conversations. The game is paced really poorly and just doesn't know when to shut the hell up lol. Overall though, still like the world and the presentation and the music and everything. I really hope GAA2 having better pacing helps me like it better, cuz I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up for another 5 cases if it isn't.

Having beaten the first game, what was up with those two random dudes who show up in 1-4 for a quick conversation in the street? I thought surely they would show up again in case 5, but nope lol. I don't even remember their names. Do they come back in GAA2?

Oh my God 1-5 just goes on and on. I'm really having trouble caring anymore. I hate Gina. I don't care about Iris. I'm not even concerned about Herlock cuz plot armor guarantees he's going to be fine.

A few people have said the pacing is better in GAA2. Is it really better? Cuz I went from really enjoying this game on the first two cases to actually not even wanting to play the second one. And I loooove Ace Attorney games, so it's really weird feeling this way.

It's really weirding me out that so far, most of the cases only include one trial section in the first game. I guess that was a stylistic choice for the devs, but personally I don't like it. Really makes everything drag on forever.

I really do genuinely like the game a lot. But the more I play, more and more I find myself fast forwarding through dialogue. This game is REALLY wordy, even for an Ace Attorney game.

They really need the main rival to be hateable again. Beating Blue is satisfying... beating someone like Hop, I just start to feel bad after I crush him for the 100th time easily.

I think their compromise for this was to have two rivals: one buddy and one jerk.

Like, in SwSh, they have you weakass Hop, but then they also have you Bede who was a proper asshole.

They did a similar thing in Pokemon Masters too. You have one forgettable rival who's nice to you, and then your main rival is this prince dude who's a total douche for the entire story.

That's really weird cuz my friend had the EXACT same thing happen to him a few days ago. He got the warnings, tried to log in and stop it but he was a few minutes late cuz he was at the dentist.

He filled a claim and stuff and got it back fortunately. It took a day or so.

100% with ya on that. I can loosely remember the basic story of all the Tales games I've played. But Vesperia, nope. All I remember is something about looking for Aer Krenas or whatever the fuck they're called, and a bunch of guilds mad at each other for some reason.

In retrospect, I borderline hated Vesperia. Almost every single character is an unlikable piece of shit. The story is so full of JRPG techno-babble that it's impossible to follow (even by Tales standards). And the soundtrack was one of the most forgettable in the entire series, and some of Sakuraba's worst work in his career IMO.

A friend of mine had a minor stroke recently and had to wait in in a hall bed for nearly an hour because their hospital was so busy with COVID patients.

Eventually her boyfriend got fed up and drove her down to a hospital in Massachusetts to be seen more quickly.

If you know anything about cerebrovascular injuries, getting treatment ASAP is key to preventing long-term damage/effects.
She now has to be on daily meds for anti-vertigo as a result.

Honestly, I get where the guy is coming from tho. Osaka is ethnically only half Japanese and has lived most of her life in the U.S. I got nothing against her but I could see why people would think there's others who could better represent the country as a whole.

Personally, I thought it seemed kind of off in the ceremony for a bunch of doctors and nurses to hand over the torch to a tennis player, to light the Olympic torch during a pandemic lol.

The part about hair becoming self-cleaning after a month or two of not washing it is actually real. I can attest to this cuz I rarely ever wash my hair and it always looks great.
