I would dive into battles against full health Pokemon at half health and win. I never even figured out how his ult works. Don't need it when Hex + Sludge Bomb is so broken.

Lol Gengar is so overpowered. I haven't been MVP since my first day and I played him just knowing Sludge Bomb + Hex was too strong and I was easily MVP. I didn't even know how his moves worked.

I scored 50 points with literally 1 second left and the game didn't count it. We won by like 50 but I'd have been pissed if we lost because the game doesn't actually count every goal scored before the buzzer.

My internet crashed right at the start of a game and I lost 8 fair play points. Literally I had to restart my modem from Comcast's site. Cool.

It's a fun little MOBA. Matches are only 10 minutes and you're playing literal children so you can feel like you're good at games. I like it

I'm currently playing Wario Land 3 for the Gameboy Colour(on my 3DS).

It's kind of like a Metroidvania and you get to play as Wario.

Wario Land 3 owns. One of my favorite games as a kid. You're right, it does have Metroidvania elements.

Playing Return of Samus now. Finished the first two areas. I maintain it's better than Metroid 1.

This. I love sign up bonuses. The problem is I've really run out of areas I can justify getting new cards in. I have the Discover It card and the Chase Freedom card that also has rotating 5% back categories. I've run out of cards I can reasonably get.

They do pay you well for an entry level job and the level of work you are expected to do.

Like all you have to literally do is show up to work and not slack off and you start off at $12 an hour.
Most of the time you arent even supervised. Also they will actually steadily increase your pay the longer you work. Also bonuses as well as benefits. Walmart really is no were as bad as people make it out to be.

Are we pretending $12/hour is good pay now?

Manufacturers don't even like them. The PS5 attach rate was terrible at launch because they all just went to scalpers. Can't sell games if nobody is playing the system.

Respectfully disagree, but I also played it on OG gameboy so it probably had something to do with it. Those screens were impossible to even SEE, let alone the monochromatic nature of the things. I had to sit under a friggin' 100W bulb lamp just to play it haha.

Yeah, that doesn't sound great. I don't know how I played my GBC and GBA back in the day. There's no going back after you've experienced backlit screens

My advice to play Metroid 1 is with the Invincible code + a map. That'll mitigate most of the frustration.

Metroid 2 is still better than Metroid 1 IMO.

Having a map is preferable though.

While it's rather different from the original game, the Metroid 2 remake on the 3DS is muuuuuuch easier to play and not get lost in.

Play that if you really want to play a Metroid 2.

I liked Return of Samus. I'm playing Samus Returns now. I really dislike how weak I feel in Samus Returns. You take so much damage, even with the Varia Suit. I also got AM2R which I'll play eventually. I love me some Metroid.

And of course I preordered Metroid Dread the day I found out about it, which is what prompted me to go back and play all of these.

In terms of difficulty, it starts hard, then it's easy once you get Screw Attack basically all the way to Mother Brain (Kraid was a bit tough too, didn't die but I almost die, though I was careless). And then Mother Brain is hard in a super frustrating way. Also, do Kraid and Ridley take more damage depending on which one you fight first? I melted Ridley (fought him first).'

Also, did the original manual mention anything about needing the ice beam for Metroids? That section would have been a nightmare if I didn't know that from background knowledge.

Zero Mission is a great game. I played NES Metroid with a map for reference, I wasn't in the mood for drawing my own. I did kinda like that there are entire paths that have no benefit to going down, though. Not even a single item. Would have been cool to try to figure out where to go.
