Lower difficulties allows for more swinging and less dodging. You can parry human enemies (as well as certain monsters, but usually better to dodge them), so theres at least a bit of depth there. I dont think the combat brings the game down at all but I can understand if someone wants to plough through it just to experience the game, because the narrative/dialogue is where it shines. --- |

Not only does the gameplay remain similar from 3-5 (though it does improve with each one) but 5 is just so massive and ambitious that its almost impossible not to get burnt out. --- |

Its scaled back and theres way less content for a Yakuza game, but I think its also a welcome returned focus on Kiryu after 4 and 5s sprawling stories. Its also fully voice acted, and despite Kiwami 2 expanding on the combat I still prefer 6 in some ways. --- |

If you use it three times before phase 3, it automatically starts phase 3. There is also a small cooldown between uses where it's ineffective. After 3 uses, it doesn't work any more. That makes sense. Whatever the reason I thought it was one use, Id only ever use it once he transforms. Thats why I didnt know it could trigger his transformation early, either. Still learning things after 6 years. --- |
