Lmao Mnet just released the full interim ranking for GP999 as of the 18th and the top 9 has 8 Koreans, none of the popular Japanese girls, and the only foreigner is the Chinese girl with pro NK posts that Koreans absolutely despise. This group is gonna end up being a disaster lol

Too late to pull a Sixteen, they wouldve had to say it way earlier than this. There will likely be paid votes in the finale like always plus they went on real hard about there being no rigging and that the voters would actual be the sole determiners of the final group for real this time. Most they could maybe get away with is pulling out a planet pass in the finale to stuff the group with Koreans if things dont change but making the group more than 9 members would be sus considering all the marketing for the show is centered around the number 9. If things go south this season I expect future seasons to build in ways for CJ/MNet to influence things more.

Say what you want about the rigging in past seasons but the people in charge clearly knew how to put together a better group than the viewers

Yep, its the middle of a big crackdown from China on both foreign acts themselves and fanbases of those groups within China, anti-China sentiment in Korea is pretty high right now (not to mention the ever present anti-Japanese sentiment), Su Ruiqi could get them basically blackballed from any network thats not MNet in Korea and kill any potential brand deals in Korea if international fans dont make the right call now and pivot to someone else, they dont have a Sakura or the backing of a company like AKS to get them attention and good promotion opportunities in Japan (and Japans favorite in the voting isn't yet guaranteed to get into the group), so their 3 "main" markets are all looking shaky as things stand. Not to mention the industry is just even more competitive now than when IZ*ONE debuted. All the groups that were big when IZ*ONE debuted are just as big (if not bigger) plus there have been even more groups that have hit big since then.

MNet's biggest hope is that 1-pick really shakes things up in the finale and loads the lineup with Koreans and there is some evidence to suggest that 1-pick will indeed favor the Korean trainees but its still a big gamble.

So Mnets got to be shitting their pants that the Top 9 in GP999 is getting more Chinese and less Korean, also one of the girls who made pro-China/pro-North Korea posts is still in the Top 9 so far, if she ends up in the group thanks to international voters and those posts finally hit the mainstream Korean news the group will never get a foothold there.

I feel the rankings are gonna be mostly meaningless until they stop forcing people to vote for 3 of each nationality. They've already said the final group has no set composition so eventually its going to be free for all meaning theres no doubt some of the girls who are sitting top 9 for now are being propped up by the forced voting rules for now. Also, I dont trust Mnet not mess with the rankings if they see the group is trending towards having more foreigners than Koreans, Id be surprised if they let more than 2-3 non-Korean girls debut

Speaking of PD48, it's looking like the rumored HYBE group with Sakura, Chaewon (and potentially Minju) from IZ*ONE, Yunjin from PD48, + others is all but confirmed.

Sakura returned to Korea today and was escorted through the airport by a security team that is affiliated with HYBE

New Red Velvet is basic as fuck, big disappointment especially considering its their first release in almost 2 years. Even all the weird bad title tracks they released between Bad Boy and Psycho were more interesting than this

I use it solely to cut tails with Mag LBG.

The whole point of running Mag for stickies is to switch to slicing when you get the KO and shred the monster, slicing is probably your best source of DPS for that gun until you run out, dont limit it to tail cutting only

What makes slicing so powerful, does it also stun really well?

On top of whats already been said, slicing damage is also unaffected by crit distance so you can basically ignore that whole mechanic with a sticky/slice or RF slice build

If were talking purely for Sticky and LBG then its Anjanath. Overall Tigrex HBG is the Sticky king for now. When people run the Magna LBG for sticky its because it also has slicing which is in contention for the most OP ammo right now and is one of the easiest to use

That took what, 24 Lazurite total? It'll be a good long while before that pays for itself in terms of Lazurite, if ever. Tbh whenever Ive run Good Luck for farming 90% of the time that it even activates for quest rewards its an armor sphere

God I hate that the best bows are all Rampage and Rampage V weapons need both Diablos and Rathalos Apex materials, just one more run of each and I can ignore this mode again until the next Apex drops. Not even gonna bother to craft Crit Boost decos until they make Rathalos a regular fight

Finally was able to play enough to unlock Teo, got a gem on the first carve.
Every new monster except Chameleos gave me at least 1 gem on the first hunt lol

After over 60 kills against Almudron or however you spell his name I finally got his orb via shiny drop. What a fucker. I have like 27 plates of his and a ton of material for him to use for getting talisman, though and I'm pretty much can kill him with ease now. Solo'd him a few times and my best time was like 7 minutes which isn't bad consider it's me playing.

All this for that mud bow so I can get the strongest water spread bow to fight Mag.

Spreads not gonna be great for fighting mag, his shot weakzones are all pretty small. Spread is just not very good in general right now. Also Almudrons bow doesnt even get charge level 4 so a rampage spread would probably out damage it

None of the big Bow players have put any videos out yet that ive seen but in terms of actual bows its basically Rampage Rapid for every element now. As far as armor itll probably take a while to go through it all again and figure out the absolute optimal stuff considering deco slots are gonna be way more important now but you will still be locked on the head slot with mighty bow feather. Any armor or talisman with at least 1 relevant skill and multiple 2/3 slots is gonna be pretty premium probably

If you like Roguelites at all then absolutely
