Star Wars Squadrons scratches the itch pretty well from strictly the combat perspective and it's quite an experience in VR, but sometimes I just want to earn credits moving cargo from one sector to the next, y'know?

Its no Freelancer, but if you want arcade-y dogfighting then you can do worse than Rebel Galaxy Outlaw.

Chris got away with a lot for a long time, and never had any guidance to stop bad behavior. This wasnt inevitable, and the decline could have been prevented.

LiS is a good one, also Undertale. But TF2 is the epitome of this. I never even heard of it once before I got the Orange Box (was obviously super hyped for Portal, and was interested in HL2). Didn't stop playing for around 10 years.

If were talking Orange Box, then Portal. I was only in it for HL2 on a system that could handle it, and this Portal game was on it. The rest was history.

Anyone remember the mashup episode? Chicken Boo and Katie Ka-Boom, Dot as Slappy threatening to kill the singers (and you, I guess)...

How does Minerva Mink have any votes? She had one short (that I remember), and the only thing I remember from that is her starting to take off her robe and then demanding privacy.

In Claire's defense, he was very obviously crazy since he was dressing up as his twin sister, who was presumed dead until the end of the first disc. There aren't a lot of ways you can express this without becoming long-winded except repeating, "You're crazy!"

I played MFS last night and flew over my house. That was neat. I'll probably never play it again.

You can see all kinds of computerized landmarks. The sightseeing mode with the Pyramids in Giza was a real eye-opener.

Our newspaper used to do something like that back when I was a kid. I think it was just 3/2/1 and a point total.

OK, so it'll be on the XBox, and we hardly use that with my niece around. Maybe I can buy it on that.

My niece is 5. She loved her grandmother. This was the nice one on her mother's side.

My niece usually visits on Wednesdays and goes home on Thursdays. She's here now, and my brother informed me that's because her grandmother committed suicide. She seems unaware of the situation. I have no details beyond that.

I didn't have any close attachments to the woman, but she was nice enough and she was good to my niece/her granddaughter. I can't imagine how her kids (brother's ex and former BIL) are dealing with it. My brother hasn't shown much emotion, but at least part of that is to protect my niece/his daughter.

This post is mostly for me to process my thoughts. I wasn't counting on anything happening tonight, I brought home pizza from Little Caesar's because I wanted the day to be over and didn't want to do much thinking.

I'm from the suburbs and still live in one of them.

I didn't care that the team was called the Indians, and I still don't. The change displeases me because I'm going to have to buy new t-shirts. Much like Slider (the team's mascot), the name will get booed until we all get used to it or get distracted by the mustard and ketchup races.

I grew up in the 80s and the land division was influenced by the Iron Curtain, at least in my mind.

The original movie had the benefit of old Warner Brothers cartoons playing on tv. It was star power from Jordan and the Loony Toons characters in a kids movie. Do they even do that anymore? Like, whos Bugs Bunny and why should they care?

A combination of war and social breakdown. Fallout, Mad Max, and Fist of the North Star kind of movies.

I disliked the first episode (the jokes just didn't land for me), but the rest have been pretty funny.

No Mans Sky had buzz in the mainstream media, something neither Fallout 76 nor Cyberpunk really had to the same extent. Bethesda can recover from Fallout and CDPR can theoretically get Cyberpunk to be at least ok. The thing is, even after massive revisions and everything, NMS left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths and its going to be hard for them to sell any new projects.

Ill be in glasses for probably the rest of my life. My vision has deteriorated so that I cant see a lot of detail, but my prescription hasnt had to be that strong so far. Couple that with my office job and it doesnt make sense to get LASIK.

Ugh, I got Ghost of Tsushima for Christmas but haven't had the time to start it.

Its pretty good. It suffers from the usual issues of sameness after a while that other games in its genre do, but its enjoyable for a while.

He wasn't convicted for serial rape, he was convicted of one rape. You can only place a sentence on what the prosecution manages to get a conviction on. Blame the statute of limitations in whichever states for the rest of them.

The article says the sentence was three to ten years. He's two months and change away from his 2018 conviction. He's more or less served the minimum sentence and his brand is irreparably damaged. There's not much more you can do to him except let him die in prison, and really, what difference would that make?

I think it was the topic about the dead model. If I remember correctly, I said one word I stole from a David Willis comic and got a 5kl five day suspension.

It was decent for its time. My biggest problem was that the magic you get during the late game was far outclassed by the time you got it, so unless you spent time grinding it there wasn't any real reason to use it. I chalk that up to the cartridge limitations.
