| YoungMutual 07/20/21 4:36:12 PM #1 | I'm a regular poster on another board, and in there is this certified shitposter that makes more alts than meals per day, spends unhealthy amounts of time trying to "rig" the system, you know the type. So one day I called him out on something dumb he said, and he blocked me. Fine. Less interactions with a poster I don't feel adds too much to the conversation anyways, theoretically we both win in this scenario, right? Thing is, he's so active that in my pov topics get bumped for no reason, and whenever he's successful derailing things I get no context either, so my experience gets disrupted anyways when the purpose of the block system is the opposite. I don't know, I understand the need for a block system, but maybe sometimes it's abused by bad faith posters to further disrupt things. Maybe it could get some tweaking? Like, if a poster blocks me I can still see their posts, but they can't see mine? Then again, if they did that it would be the same as the ignore function. The quality of life changes are already improving the experience, I'm still at the tutorial part and it's very fluid now. Having full camera control is really nice too. Button controls are garbage, sticking with motion controls, but maybe others are adapting better, it just seems like a worse scheme all around. --- YoungMutual |
