Someone needs to explain how they got 1 or -1

even if you do multiplacation first you grt 30 for that part 8 + -3 is 5 x 6 as 2+ 4 is 6 and you get 30 dive by 2 is 15 how can it be any different if its different than what I got it must be some kind of new math I dont understand

The -3 is connected to the (2+4) so you would do -3 times 6 to get -18. Divide that by 2 to get -9. Then 8 plus (-9) gets you -1

not new math. Just order of operations

It had an expansive story mode and it was the first wrestling game to introduce diverse backstage areas to fight in. It was a great multi-player game too. (Guest referee mode will ruin some friendships though.)

Also, it had a reversal system that actually made sense and required timing instead of just mashing. CAW allowed you to have a different finisher for every situation (from the front, from the back, on the ground, top rope, etc). Man I miss that game.

From a pure legal standpoint, the merger is 100% wrong because you should never force a merge.

From a more practical standpoint, the dash cammer shares part of the blame because he aggressively responded and made a bad situation much worse. He had time to hit the horn so he clearly had time to hit his breaks and avoid a pissing contest. Instead he didnt want his precious ego harmed by someone getting in front of him and causing him to reach his destination 2 seconds later. I give him 30% blame.

It is everyones responsibility to keep the roads safe and sometimes that means driving defensively even when youre in the right.

Nintendo's lawyers are on salary. They already have to get paid whether or not they do anything.

This isn't necessarily true. I work for a large Fortune 500 company and we almost never use our corporate lawyers to go to trial for two main reasons.

1) Corporate lawyers require a different skill set from trial lawyers. It would be like hiring a dentist to do an optometrist's job. Our lawyers obviously assist in the preparation of the case, but the trial lawyers would actually be the ones to show up and do the talking.

2) The corporate lawyers have to be licensed in the state (or country) where the trial is happening. As you can imagine, this is a pain in the ass. Considering how large the company is, there are law issues big and small popping up in practically every state, yet we only have about 8 corporate lawyers.

For these two reasons, we frequently have to hire 3rd party counsel to represent us in court. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo had to do the same. Especially considering how international they are.

I went to my 10 year reunion a few years ago. Everything was organized via a Facebook group years in advance. The girl who did most of the work was able to track down like 90% of our graduating class via Facebook. It was held at a small event center in town. There were about 550 people in my graduating class and about 200 people showed up to the reunion. Honestly had a great time that night.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/former-buffalo-officer-cariol-horne-2006-chokehold/

This story has been discussed here before but we finally got a good update on her situation.

Summary:
  • In 2006, Carol Horne forcibly stopped Greg Kwiatkowski, her co-worker at the time, from choking and brutalizing a suspect who was already in handcuffs. "Neal Mack looked like he was about to die," she told "CBS This Morning" in June 2020. "So had I not stepped in, he possibly could have. He was handcuffed and being choked." - Carol Horne
  • The police department ended up firing her over the event about 2 years later, just months before she was eligible for her full pension benefits. None of her co-workers backed her up.
  • She ended up doing odd jobs and working as a truck driver. She also did some advocacy against police brutality
  • Last year she filed a lawsuit to overturn her 2008 firing.
  • Just earlier this week, 15 years later, they reversed the firing and awarded her pension. It's worth $800k
  • Greg Kwiatkowski was later fired and sentenced to 4 months in prison in a separate incident involving excessive force against 4 black teenagers in 2009.

TopicHow does a 25-year-old with no college degree become a grocery store manager?
Zano
03/25/21 3:50:29 PM
#60
I got my first job sacking groceries when I was 16 years old in the 11th grade. I showed up to work every day (never called in sick, never late) and pretty clearly outworked everyone else there. After 6 months, they moved me to the produce department and gave me a raise. After a year in produce, I graduated high school. One week later they offered me an assistant produce manager job at 18 years old (again, because I was pretty clearly the best employee there and never caused trouble or called in sick). I only turned it down because they pretty much required you to be on call at any time if you were a manager and it would have affected my college. That said, they did make me a "produce lead" and upped my pay to almost exactly what the assistant produce manager made. Other folks who were much older than me were not pleased about this. This was my only job up until I graduated college at 22 and promptly got out of there. Retail is hell and there's no way I would want to be a store manager. My store manager was working 80+ hour weeks, on his feet every day, at the store from open to close like every day. Not the kind of life I want to live.
