I worked at Wal-Mart about 10 years ago. A high school classmate of mine had a new baby. I was working the till. She winked at me to come over, so I came and said, "Who is this cutie?" "See you were just talking about him."

You are in a group of 30 people are partying on a ship. A loud noise breaks up the chatter of variously aged people. Over the port, a large fast approaching vessel approaches. A group of 10 men, speaking an unknown language, aim automatic weapons at the company and take over the ship. Everyone aboard is cowed and the ship is lead to a peninsula with two tattered cabins surrounded by woods. The group is herded into the disgusting chambers littered with lice infested bunk beds. Towards the tail end of the evening, the person assigned the bunk next to you is drawn outside. Everybody is curious as to what will happen, so they look throught the torn mesh windows into the evening light and watch as a member of the kidnapping group takes aim at his head as the party goer turns around. Both cabins shake with fearful screams as the partygoer drops.
After that, the group has trouble sleeping in part to the terrified whimpering and humidity pervading the sleeping quarters. The pirates make it evident that, should someone attempt to escape, not only will the kill the person fleeing; they will also kill a random party goer as well.
I thought it would be an interesting moral conflict beyond the shocking story. Should you risk not only your life, but also the life of another when pursuing freedom?
