As someone who has been waiting to get a Switch, I'm kinda disappointed that the upgrade isn't nearly as significant as I would have hoped, but the hard reality is that "Pro" consoles are a dumb concept anyway. A Pro console effectively does one of two things: The enhancements are overall esoteric, as the support is limited for such a small subset of the system's user base, or it overshadows the earlier model to the point that the upgrade is mostly necessary. NO ONE over the age of 25 or so, wants to seriously work those. The pay is low, the work is stressful,& customer service is a BS job that can never be compensated enough to justify what one has to deal with. The problem here is that until the extended unemployment benefits came along, most people there had no desirable alternative. People generally considered worthless & easily replaced with robots if they dare ask for a raise, are actually the foundation for a lot of society to function & aren't quite as expendable as once thought. Really, the pandemic exposed a lot of things about our society, such as schools mostly being childcare services, that I would love to read some academic papers about, but I doubt anyone seriously touches any of it once things go back to normal. --- Remember kids, it's only an RPG until someone gets hit with a meteor; Then it's a JRPG! Every game has a "default" state, & most difficulties are just derivative of that, created with modifiers. Sonic & shumps/bullet hell are the only games that immediately come to mind with a difficulty that isn't mostly "enemies do more damage" & "you do less damage". This is the same problem in "passion" industries that plagues the gaming industry & comic books: the creatives make phenomenal material, but lack the the business sense of how the not get screwed over; even Walt got ripped off when he lost Oswald, which makes me glad that there's a push to educate creatives in business sense, to prevent this stuff. Game developers are overworked with strenuous practices such as crunch & apparently, most comic book writers are paid in peanuts, even when the characters & stories they pioneered are making bank in the box office.
