I just dont get how that James guy has a humongous VHS and DVD library (the size of a real video store) yet made a whole rant topic video about how much better streaming is better than Blu Ray. Well, maybe if you already have an average fidelity physical collection numbering in the thousands.

Got it, I own both the snes and mini snes and I get the old feeling of playing games on CRT. If your purpose was to play on CRT then I bid you good luck on finding the original snes in good condition. I think because of covid a lot of people have probably been reliving nostalgia while bored at home so prices may have gone up to compensate.
Those older retro gaming prices, they're not gonna go down. Only up. (Well, in the foreseeable future). Supply/demand plus we're now talking about people with nostalgia who are late young adult stage or already early middle age, which means they have real money to throw around at this point.

If you're talking about mostly built-up muscle mass, yeah, no doubt, it's pretty goddamn easy if you want to lose a significant amount of weight. But if you're talking a bulk mass of fat that you're trying to lose, you're going to need a massive diet change long term for possibly years. People can do that for a couple of weeks. But as time goes on, you'll see an increasing failure rate. To get off that last bit of fat that separates a truly fit person from average body type is definitely the toughest part though.

That's not realistic for a comfortable retirement. Unfortunately, it'd need to be quite a bit more than that. At least with the way things are going and have been, current younger gens will be in the poorhouse big time for about the last 2-3 decades of their lives, by and large of course.

I always find it funny when I'm talking with older folks about stuff we both enjoy (I like a lot of older music, movies, tv, etc) it's always quite humorous when we veer off the subject of that and something newer. I do feel like older folks are more open to new things when they see you share some other common interests, instead of shooting those things down.
At least from what Ive seen, after a person turns 35-40, their legitimate hobbies/interests are near set in stone in terms of what they might be into. That can 100% include newer media, but it has to exactly align with their general interests.

I was thinking this but also, LGBTQ people are far less likely to get harassed in public then they used to be. The need for a safe space for lesbians in particular isn't as warranted as it once was.

Besides, gay bars are pretty niche even in the LGBTQ+ community.
My city has a whole area with blocks of gay bars. Id say theyre still very much a thing for gay dudes. And plenty of straight women go there too because they wont be getting approached by horndog straight dudes.

Been constantly annoyed by my job because I made a fairly minor mistake a few weeks ago but unfortunately it had to do with work for an outside client company so it was a big deal for me because it was kinda publicly embarrassing.

Mainly annoyed because I have veteran colleagues who should offer me safeguards against things like this happening but I dont think I was offered much guidance in this particular instance and now my work reputation has been tarnished somewhat for now. Meh, it will 9/10 likely return to normal for me in a couple weeks but right now its just always occupying my mind.

Anybody decrying European/western imperialism should just look to China/Japan etc in the last century plus to the East. You may as well be decrying humanity as a whole.

Christianity is a very well developed religion, despite the figure of Jesus being likely a superfluous person. Fact is, that doesnt matter, since Paul of Damascus largely got the religion off the ground anyway.

Tequila doesnt belong being included in the five major liquors. Its notable, but it far and away gets the least attention in the world of cocktails for a reason.

I think people who are obsessed with getting away and vacationing are some of the worst types. Might be time to look inward.
