Yami Yugi is the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle, the pharaoh Atem, made manifest through the skill of the boy who solved it, Yugi Muto. Having been granted the spirit and power of darkness, Yami Yugi is able to challenge anyone to a 'Shadow Game'. This can take the form of any game of skill of chance either participant can think of. The loser will be dealt a punishment, often ironic, ranging from eternal hallucinations to experiencing all of the tortures of Hell to completely shattering the mind of the loser. Yugi possesses superhuman dexterity, strength, and game theory knowledge, though the Puzzle's greatest strength is its ability to manipulate luck, giving him the tools he needs to overcome any situation, especially at its most hopeless.

Additionally, he may summon the souls of ancient monsters, represented by Duel Monsters cards and made manifest through the power of the puzzle. His deck includes the incredibly flexible Dark Magician, the infinitely-multiplying Kuriboh, and the three Egyptian Gods, which require a sacrifice in exchange for power rivaling the infinite.

(Thought he'd be fun to have as either a summoner archetype with incredible luck hacks or, if he actually challenged someone to a game and they accepted, unique win conditions against guys who are above his pay grade like your average DBZ guy who will totally get talked into a harder fight. And also just silly Yugioh nonsense)

Wa - and I cannot emphasize this enough - hey.

I've got Mario at 17 mainline plus 5 debatable (All-Stars, 64DS, World 2, Advance, Advance 4)

Pokemon at 14 plus 5 debatable (Fire Red, Leaf Green, Heart Gold, Colosseum, XD)

... but if you count spin-offs and debatables, even discounting stuff like Mario Vs Donkey Kong, I've got Mario at 72 so, uh. Probably that one.

I mean, given the choices I'm glad my boy Suplex survives, but 1. this does not bode well for the future of Kirbo wrestling and 2. man you can't do Nago and Chuchu dirty like that.

So much fun following this contest. Honestly expected these two to drop around #20 or so with how they were doing, an absolute delight to have 'em in contention. They're such a fun combination of "you can actually think and plan approaches" and "unga bunga bear punch" plus feeling great to just move around with, like they'd been there since Melee or so. Delightful character with fun animations, just glad they managed to get this chance!

Man, that's a shame. Hi-Jump has such a cool setpiece moment with the Kracko boss fight in Adventure, one of the few original abilities to REALLY get shine in its debut appearance, and it's just a fun speed-through ability whenever it pops up.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (I actually like a lot about it, but it's a chore to play and has some of the most deplorable and awful stuff I've seen in a game for no payoff)

Madou Monogatari: Big Kindergarten Kids (the most bored I've been through a full playthrough of anything)

Also I mostly agree for KDL2, but I feel like the last world saves it. The rest of the game feels like a dull tutorial until you get there, and then finally stuff starts coming together with the animal buddies and actual ability challenges using them.
