Basing any risk analyses on n=1, however, is generally a terrible idea. Unfortunately, humans overwhelmingly tend to bias their understanding of risks according to what they've personally experienced, so it can be really hard to convince people to believe in abstract statistical data over the tiny, non-representative sample they've observed. I try to be sympathetic to that, but it can get awfully difficult.

At least I know what I experienced was true.

The vaccine works at preventing you from dying from the virus, which is better than any other alternative.

In my experience, testing positive for covid without any symptoms pre-vaccination, and almost going to the hospital twice because of the vaccine, the vaccine was worse.

The movie "Maximum Overdrive" was released in 1986 and isn't even 40 years old. I'm under 50 and imagine that there are those in their 30's or younger that have seen the movie. I remember this movie from my childhood (around 8 when the movie was released). I'm really not sure why you think only those 60 and older know of it.

I didn't know it was forced. If it is, I'm against it. It should be the parents choice.

When my son was born last summer, the most asked question was "so, you're not circumcising your son?" This was every single doctor and nurse, everyday until and after he was born. It very much felt like they were forcing us. It also adds something like $1200 to the bill.

Only my wife was given a covid test, once, despite me and my mother-in-law being there also.

It really seemed like they were more concerned with performing a circumcision than covid.

I honestly don't think I've ever had one despite growing up surrounded by Mexican restaurants. I grew up ordering chorizo breakfast burritos and steak, bean, and cheese burritos. I've always been carb conscious.
