REV or Deathloop because they're the flashiest, most expensive, and have the highest production values. Nothing else really matters.

Metroid is too simplistic to win GOTY, while quirky platformers and indie games have zero chance.

As for what I'd vote for... I agree with the comments that this was a weak year. None of these games blew me away. In fact, I'm pretty sure none of my top 3 favourite games this year are on this list so... Metroid I guess?
