From what I gather, never cancel your first card. I think it's the one used to establish your longest length of credit which count towards your credit score. The longer the better, if canceled, it would go to the next card or loan, which would shorten your credit history.

To add to this, note that many banks will automatically close your card if not used for a certain period of time (usually ~1 year). So you should make a small purchase on the card account(s) you don't use but want to keep open perhaps once every several months or so to keep it active (So, a candy bar, or a 50c Amazon balance reload, or something like that)

I'm not a youtube creator, but I would assume they'll send you a 1099 for the last tax year at some point, as long as you made more than a negligible amount.

Then I presume that income would be reported by you on Schedule C, and subject to Self-Employment Tax as well. Not really sure though.

I would imagine it's a very small number. Business aren't exploiting workers to break even, they're doing it to funnel money upwards.

I wonder sometimes just how many businesses, or how big a part of the economy, simply isn't viable/profitable without a bottom line subsidized by worker exploitation or other illegal practices.
