Its a sad story because clearly his parents didnt prep him to be independent whether due to a failure on their part or just because they didnt want to. there are lots of resources out there that would let duncan be a real adult but one or both parties dont seem interested in that

It also varies a lot based by state. I have known dozens of people who are significantly more impaired who live more independently. But without that infrastructure in place, forget about it. Its never done by the state. Its always a matter of if there are sufficiently good non-profits in your area and you manage to get involved with them.

Agreed. You cant just let that kind of thing slide, even though it is obvious she wasnt being literal. Despite the occasional sensational examples that arise, I agree with zero tolerance policies.

It sounded to me like a metaphor. That being said, dont use metaphors about guns in a school setting. Zero tolerance and all that. I dont believe that just letting this go is the right answer.

So red flag? Depends on the show, I guess. Depending on the show it probably ranges from definitely a red flag to its only weird if you make it weird.

Like others have said, the party dynamics are important. Also, make sure to figure out where the line is for peoples comfort.

Yeesh, with middle schoolers Id almost expect them to be fucking around with them or something as opposed to just being shitty at plugging things in carefully. Especially if you arent seeing similar issues with the schools that have younger children.

Another pattern to look out for would be trying to determine if the failed units are mostly being charged at the school or at home.

Also, have all the units been in circulation for the same amount of time? If so, how long?

Might be subtle enough to just increase the failure rate. If I were you, Id try to map out where the defective units are coming from. If its all from one part of the building, it might be significant, but Im guessing there wont be a pattern.

Thats a tricky one so Ill go a bit outside the box. Are there any policies in place as to how often they should be charged? I know some schools ask students to plug their chrome books in every night regardless of battery level.

Their books are written to have lots of very short chapters and the plot moves along at a snappy pace. Theyre decent for a plane ride, and Id be willing to bet that a lot of those sales are at airports.

Plus, people have been reading them forever. Its like a comfort author.
