And I agree that it seems harmless enough, but the family is rather conservative, so the whole thing just kinda freaks em out. They dont know what to make of it, or how she got into it in the first place.

To my knowledge, a lot of people do it with the knowledge that it doesn't do anything but make them feel like they've done something, or, as they put it, "centering themselves".

Yup, thats precisely what I was wondering: Is it more of a feel good thing that isnt really meant to be taken literally, or do they truly believe they have supernatural abilities?

Do people still really believe in it? I can't tell if they "practice" it in the same vein as cosplaying (i.e. indulging make-believe just for the fun of it), or if they really think spells/magic/etc. are real. And I don't mean any disrespect to anyone who does believe in magic; I'm just wondering what the general attitude of modern witchcraft is. Because frankly, I thought genuine belief in spells and stuff died out a very long time ago...

I went to the T-Mobile store to get a new celly. Told the guy I wanted one with a headphone jack, and he looked at me like I'm crazy. Said wireless headphones are the way to go if I want audio quality that corded headphones can't hope to provide. Said I was way better off just getting an up-to-date phone, i.e. one without a headphone jack.

Is this true? Are corded headphones inherently inferior to wireless ones when it comes to audio quality?

Your skin produces oil naturally, because it wants to be coated (to a certain degree) in oil, to protect it from drying out. Stripping it every day doesn't give it enough time to recover.

My cousin, kind of a clean freak, doesn't understand why he gets whole patches of his body peeling off, but the fucker takes 2-3 scalding showers a day. I'm shocked he's not balding yet.

Yes, but I didnt say they dont realize at all that its dangerous; I said most dont seem to realize just how dangerous it can be. Ideally, you dish out an ass-whooping or, worst-case scenario, get roughed up a bit. But perhaps what you dont consider is the person knocking you out, and repeatedly striking your unconscious head. Perhaps what you dont consider is the hard-hitting, headfirst fall onto the pavement from a solid chin-checker. And for what? Probably some petty bullshit. Is it worth the risk?
