Well, Kajala is what I expected it to be. Double vovels and consonants can be confusing to those who're not used to them, leading to slightly odd spellings, such as Raikonnen, Marti, and Ninisto (Rikknen, Martti, and Niinist) respectively, Some words change meaning depending on if they have double consonants or vovels. For example, Kamppi is a district in Helsinki, but kampi is a crank, and tuuli is wind, but tuli is fire. Perhaps this ,ethod of differentiation seems puzzling to the unintiated, but it couldn't be further from the truth. It's much easier to know the difference when compared to track and banana in Swedish, both which are written as banan, and that has nothing on the Swedish pitch accent... Anden, eller anden?
