The DeFi market has demonstrated it can provide what the current banking industry provides, providing loans, lending out for high savings, among other financial products, with the main difference being that they can't change up the ToS on you like what they did on Robinhood for the GME short squeeze attempt. When Chainlink's DECO is released, we'll be able to use personal data without revealing it on chain to take advantage of things like credit scores to service undercollateralized loans, a trillion dollar industry. Currently, the loans given out need to be overcollateralized, i.e. you want a $1K loan, you need to provide $1.5K in assets. More use cases will pop up and be demonstrated as more data is onboarded and readily available. We have Associated Press and Deutsche Telekom's T-Systems running nodes to provide news data and telekom data.
