Keep about 2 of each rune and then don't bother picking up a third in my opinion. If you ever find a rune with a level required above 40 then always keep it but you won't find those until late Nightmare or Hell difficulty

Hmm the area level is 87 but the cows are only 81 so I think you could get it from a chest but it should be impossible from a cow.

There's going to be a LOT of information here so I would just focus on the runewords. Sort by level and try to make some low ones while you're leveling.

Upgrading runes is useful in the beginning when you don't have any but ultimately it's a waste of time because the amount you need increases exponentially. For example in order to create the highest rune in the game (Zod) you would need 14 TRILLION of the lowest rune (El). Anything under a Lem is not worth cubing up unless you need a specific rune.

If you're completely new to runewords a few things to keep in mind:
They only work in WHITE items (no blue, yellow)
The item has to have the EXACT number of sockets to match the runeword. So you can't put a 4 count runeword into a 6 socket item
Runes have to be entered in the exact order listed in order to work.

Nef + Tir in a 2 socket helm makes Nadir
Tir + Nef in a 2 socket helm makes nothing

So be careful and double check when you're making runewords

It doesn't really auto save but it keeps track of the quests you've completed and any waypoints you've found. If you quit the game and open it again all of the maps will be reset and different so that the monsters respawn.

So make sure you're finding waypoints if you want to return to an area easily in the future. Also if you die and leave the game before picking up your body it will be in town the next game you create so you can pick up your gear.

You use that to identiy blue, yellow, and unique (brown color) items. I would recommend buying a Book of Town Portal and Book of Identify from Ashara in Act 1 and keeping both full.

Also stock up on stamina potions in the beginning because you run out of stamina super fast. What class did you start with?

Spent basically all day trading up to another Lo rune so now my Frenzy Barb is pretty much perfect.

He has 2 Grief and Fortitude now. The only thing I'm really missing is a Bul-Kathos ring but everything else is "perfect". Oh and I could get better charms, a Barb torch, and Anni but those are just extra stuff.

I really lucked out at one point in the day. A random Paladin joined one of my trade games just to MF. We ended up doing Baal together and I got an essence that I used to make a token. As soon as I left that game I saw a try trading a Gul rune for a token (way too high) and snagged that. For reference I traded a Lem rune later in the day for a token myself.

Traded my SOJ for an Ohm rune.
Traded 45 Travs for Gul Mal
Traded a Shako for Ist
Traded 3/20 Fire Eschuta for Ist ( I think I got ripped off on this one but not by much )

Trading takes so much energy in this game I'm drained now

I really enjoyed P5 so I was excited when this came to steam last year. I think I got about 25 or 30 hours in before I couldn't do it anymore. Those dungeons were insufferable and I wasn't really clicking with the cast either. Also if you're making a murder mystery story try to have at least a few plausible killer options. I wasn't spoiled but it was obvious after like 5 hours who the killer was so it didn't really inspire me to keep playing.

Maybe I just got burned out on the formula after 90 hours of P5 because they're VERY similar but IDK.

Hit suffers from the Piccolo problem in that his links are basically a detriment to any team you'd want to run him on.

He shares 3 links with LR Kale/Caulifla (his best linking parter on Universe 6 besides Bota Magetta)

Okay so Spider-Man releases on Dec 17th and the Hawkeye finale airs on Dec 22nd. I have a strong feeling that Disney is going to do something big to rival the Mando season finale from last year.

I'm thinking either Netflix Daredevil or Netflix Kingpin make an appearance. Any ideas on what they could do in the finale to get people talking?

Stupid AGL Freiza killed my Super TEQ team in Battlefield in the 2nd turn so I had to use Extreme TEQ. It took 27 out of the 30 turns but I managed to kill him. Bless TEQ Janemba, TEQ Broly's active skill, and TEQ Golden Freiza for his blocking.

I'm still confused about what people hated in CoM. The Disney worlds were a repetitive retread but that's ok.

But yeah I love CoM. I think a lot of people didn't like the command deck either. KH drew in a pretty casual audience and then the command deck was too complicated for some of them. The game is actually pretty difficult if you make a trash deck.

Then there's also locking doors behind cards you have to farm. Obviously that's not an issue if you know it's coming but it could be super frustrating having to sit and do random battles for an hour to get a 7 card or whatever some of those doors required.

2 multis on the new banner got me Garlic Jr. At first glance he seems a little underwhelming but +40% extreme support is nice at least. Most people seem to think he's a better pull than Gohan but IDK about that.

Having a lot of fun with this game so far after day one. The only time I raged was losing to a Lucy who just grabbed you by the ledge, threw you off, and then used her coffin move. She was grabbing me at 0 and killing me with that little combo.

Just looked at the trophies since I have it on PC. You have to beat Hell with every character, level a char to 99, and also level a hardcore char to 99.

You have to do 5000+ Hell Baal runs on Players 3 (if you're single player) to get from 98 to 99 and NEVER DIE since it's hardcore.

So yeah good luck with that Shine lol

edit: I guess you could save scum to protect from dying but still a major time investment

Currently unemployed + Diablo 2 is a bad combination.

After about 10 days and probably 50-70 hours I think I've hit my limit for now. I was doing endless Hell Mephisto runs when I had the thought of "wait, why am I doing this again?". Sure it's fun pulling the slot machine handle but I've reached the "endgame" of trading endlessly for basically nothing.

I'll be excited if they decide to add new content but for now I'm taking a break. How's everyone else doing?

+20 DEF per orb and she stacks defense with every super means she's going to be godly for long events.

Even in regular events I have a feeling she's going to take double digits on turn 2, maybe even turn 1!

Also forgot to say that she's an orb changer too so she's pretty much always going to get 6 orbs for her 2nd passive to activate.

stacks defense on super now

Passive upgraded from +12% ATK/DEF per orb to +20% ATK/DEF per orb. Also ATK +60% if she collects 6 or more orbs.

So she stacks defense, has a chance to dodge, built in additionals, and has a nuker passive (with boost too) and EZA stats. Yeah she's going to be completely busted now.

Decided to do probably my final multi on the Freiza banner. Summon animation was just Yamcha and the only SSR was the ancient PHY Vegeta.

I haven't played this game in 20 years and I'm completely hooked again. I still play Diablo 3 sometimes so I wasn't expecting to really get pulled in but D2 is just so much addicting.

Started with a Frenzy Barb (very stupid decision) and then created a Blizzard Sorc a few days later so I could actually do NM Meph runs that don't take 15 minutes.

The game itself feels great, minus some of the loading times, so if anyone is on the fence I'd definitely recommend it. Anybody else playing?

Well they're not complete casuals, they're just more casual than me. I'd say they're about average at Smash but they would never be able to pick up Street Fighter or Marvel or other fighting games.

The gap is huge in Smash too, yes, but I'm having a hard time trying to find the words for what I mean.

I think what I'm trying to ultimately say is that people who only have experience with Smash and not other fighting games are going to have a bad time once they realize this game is basically MVC2 as a platform fighter.

I consider myself pretty good at Smash but sometimes I still lose to my friends who are more casual. If the same skill levels were applied to a game like Marvel I would win 100 times in a row against a casual. There's a low floor to be "good" at Smash and a super high ceiling to be a pro. But in Marvel I think there's a higher floor to be "good" because of the amount of things you need to learn and the execution difficulty.

I think this game is going to be a lot more similar to Marvel than Smash when it comes to those skill floors. I also don't necessarily think that Smash skills will transfer to this game. Maybe I'll be wrong but I think the casual crowd will drop this game a lot faster than Smash.

But yeah I agree it'll actually have to feel good and be engaging to actually keep the competitive crowd they're banking on.

3 specials is a bummer but I like what they're doing with light/strong attacks. I've seen a lot of videos on this game and I don't think I'll actually be able to judge it until I play it. The presentation is lacking but everything seems like it's going to play well.

Also this game is fast as fuck so the gap between casuals and good players is going to be way bigger than Smash.

Yeah I really loved that game and spent a ton of time playing it. It's a shame it was released when it was because there really wasn't a great monetization model for online games yet.

They relied on people buying new characters, costumes, boosts, and gambling cards for super rare costumes but since the game was F2P you could get all of that stuff just by playing the game too. If that game were released today it would 100% have a season pass system and make a ton more money.

I guess there's a possibility I'm underleveled (or you guys are overleveled) but I've done every side quest I can, found every owl, and have the best weapons I can get. So I think I'm around level 40-45 which feels about right for this part of the game.

Maybe it wouldn't feel so long if I weren't fighting the same wolves and apes that I've been fighting for the last 30 hours.

Just got to Lenegis and the combat is really starting to wear out it's welcome for me. The battles aren't difficult but every random encounter takes 2 minutes and there's like a 10 second break between fights to keep up your lucky boost meter.

I'm considering lowering the difficulty just so I can slam through these normal encounters at this point.

I mean the combat isn't bad but these normal enemies have WAY too much health, especially when they start throwing "bosses" at you as normal enemies.

Also side note about story pacing: The stretch from finding your spaceship to the first combat encounter on Lenegis was seriously like 2 hours of non-stop cutscenes and skits. I know that's what you sign up for with JRPGs sometimes but holy shit you could not take 2 steps without triggering another cutscene or skit.

I think there's a weird stigma with most adults and animation, especially if the art style looks cartoony like this one. This is one of my favorite shows but I also think it doesn't appeal to children either because it's not silly enough and there's some stuff that could be scary to young kids pretty early on.

It's just not the type of show to catch fire or blow up the internet or anything so I'm not sure how people would stumble upon it in 2021 unless someone recommended it to them.

But yeah everyone should definitely watch it. I'd recommend waiting until we're a little closer to Halloween!

Yeah I can't fathom how someone could say Laphicet is better than Karol. Also lol at shaming a JRPG character for their age.

Rita is 15 and she's a super genius shut-in who lives by herself. Yuri for his infinite wisdom and hardened stance on the world is 21. So yeah I can suspend my disbelief about Karol.

Just pretend he's a 1000 year old dragon living in a little boy's body or something if it bothers you so much.

The story stakes go from 1/10 to 2/10 to 100/10 and it does not feel earned or justified.

People love these characters but I thought they were pretty mediocre except Yuri and maybe Karl. Estelle is confusingly stupid/naive and the other characters are about as tropey as you can get in a JRPG.

Yuri does a few interesting things in a game that is otherwise completely bland and meandering.

Dropped 850, got 3 Krillin & Gohan, 1 Vegeta, and a 2nd K&C dupe.

Pretty nice overall, though 4/5 of those LRs came in like the last 200 stones, so was feeling bad until then.

Might pick up STR Bardock with coins, I think hes the only general pool LR I dont have that I may have some use for.

If you're talking PHY Bardock I'd say definitely don't unless he's getting an EZA in Part 3 or something. Hopefully you meant STR Turles because he's actually good.
