Road tolls are a ridiculous concept but this is even more ridiculous.

What? Road tolls are the most economically sensible option.

Actually, the most efficient solution would be for road use taxes to be calculated from your vehicle having a GPS module, then you being sent a bill or paying through an online portal. To eliminate the need to disrupt traffic. But as if that would ever pass any legislative hurdle.

Was getting my extreme couponing on at CVS, crouched down to look at the bottom row of items when a woman commented "oh he looks like a bodybuilder, I thought he was doing an exercise" and I just kind of laughed it off and said "no, just trying to get a better look down here."

You posted a picture of a greyhound bus. Greyhound is a private for-profit company.

Regardless, the number of passengers/trips from within-city transit buses (which nearly universally do have separate doors for front entry and rear exit) would dwarf the number of inter-city trips provided by companies like greyhound. I really doubt you saying you've never seen this kind of bus with a separate exit unless you've never visited an even remotely populated city.

As annoying as this is, you aren't looking at more than a 30-second delay in the vast majority of cases. If being delayed by 30 seconds means you don't get to the places where you need to be, you should have left sooner, and expecting other people to help you correct that mistake isn't reasonable. This one's frustrating purely because you'd feel better if you were moving faster, not because of any objective harm.

Escalators that are built wide enough to facilitate two lanes (walking and standing) makes someone who blocks the whole thing an ass. Full stop. It's even more true on long escalators (2+ minutes if you're standing still).

my bed costs more than my car, which is fair since i dont spend a third of my life in my car. if youre gonna be there for 6-8 hours a day then you're doing yourself a substantial disservice by skimping.

Sure you could spend thousands of dollars to get 3% better sleep compared to a $600 setup. You do you.

I hope you're first making the behavioral changes that actually have an order of magnitude more impact on sleep quality.

Things like using your phone in bed to troll trans people is counterproductive to getting good sleep (on top of making you a shitty human).

Depends if you're going past someone standing still or someone trying to also walk up the escalator. If they're standing still, moving past is fair. If they're walking up but not as fast as I'd like, I wouldn't try to pass.

How else do you exit a bus? I'd say those trying to board and blocking someone trying to exit are in the wrong.

The rear door, which is the intended exit. Because you board at the front, where the driver accepts fare. This facilitates simultaneous boarding and exiting, keeping buses on schedule.
