People use it, but only in a way that isn't meant to disparage the differently abled, and in most people's opinions that makes it okay. Calling a $40 DLC r-slur is fine -- calling a mentally disabled person r-slur is not. At least, that's what they say...

And it's one of "those" words. You know, the kind of word you use (in the context above) when you're with your bros, but not when you're around people who you aren't friends with. So it's on the border of being acceptable and unacceptable -- it all just depends on the situation and who you're around.

Whether or not that flies depends on opinion, I suppose.
Personally, and as a person with high functioning autism, I'm fine with it. I actually hope to someday see a world where slurs lose most of their power.

If you're serious that it literally smelled and tasted like vomit, that's not normal. I'm not saying to go to a doctor and tell them you think you have a brain tumor because apple cider tastes bad. I'm saying to make an appointment with the specialist that treats smell and taste disorders, tell them what you experienced, and let the medical professional take it from there. Smell/taste disorders are a lot more common than you think and there's nothing weird about consulting a doctor about this, particularly if you continue to have similar experiences.

In all seriousness, smelling/tasting foul odors that aren't there is a condition called phantosmia. It can sometimes be an indicator of an underlying serious condition, so I would suggest getting an appointment with an ENT to have it checked out.

What you're thinking of is called an olfactory hallucination -- it's smelling something that isn't there. It occurs when a person isn't smelling or tasting any food or drink. It just happens randomly.
It certainly isn't what I experienced. I just didn't like the taste of apple cider...

If I went to a doctor saying what you did I'd sound like a hypochondriac.

I love going to movie theaters because the sound just can't be beat, especially for a horror movie.

And I like that everybody in the theater are all sharing a common experience. Despite not knowing each-other, you all share the same emotions for a time, and that connection is just kind of cool to me. Somehow it makes it more enjoyable. It makes me appreciate the impact of the film more than if I was just watching it alone.

But I haven't gone to a movie in what feels like a long time since covid hit...

I don't mind chocolate. I'm the kind of person that can't handle much sweet food, so although chocolate is good, I just don't eat a lot of it.
It's just the chocolate flavoring that they have in chocolate cake / ice cream. It doesn't taste like chocolate. It tastes like dirt.
