| HaVeNII7 08/26/21 7:51:21 AM #9 | Hey, awesome! Ive got over a thousand hours in that game, haha. Are you playing on Classic or Tactician difficulty? That will make quite a big difference. Classic should be manageable no problem, but Tactician can get quite hard for a new player. The other advice here is very solid. Do as many quests and take as many fights as you can. Levels are very important, and enemies do not Respawn. The game is separated into four acts, each with its own map, so as long as youre feeling ready to leave, you should be good. It will be very obvious when each act is over. And for a bit of guidance, if you do everything on act 1 youll be right around level 8, maybe level 7 when you leave. You CAN kill most NPCs at the end of each act because you dont return, but its a role playing game, so do whatever fits your character. Classes do NOT lock you into any specific role. Your class simply decides your starting gear, basically. You can make any class into anything. Think of it like Dark Souls. If youve got the points to use it, you can use it. Then the ability/weapon just scales off its relevant stat. Adding to this, its a great idea to dip into other stats for their utility skills! One point into Scoundrel for Adrenaline, two into Huntsman for Tactical Retreat. Talk to and barter with EVERY NPC you come across. Youll be surprised what sort of NPCs sell interesting things, and many have quests hidden in dialogue. Warfare increases damage multiplicatively. Other stats increase damage additively. Meaning warfare is the best stat to pump for physical damage. If you have an archer, give them 2 points in Huntsman for your skills, then pump warfare for max damage.
