My main D&D character goal is, "What movie/tv/cartoon character am I basing this off of? And does it feel mechanically or roleplay fun to play. If it fits a niche for the party, then it actually starts to get fun and you can't live without it. Otherwise, you can drop it (or ask at least)

I retired a Dwarf Cleric over the summer who was very attuned to Drachma from Skies of Arcadia; and we just finished up a Kingdom Hearts-style thing where I based dress and attitude off of Gilder. Finch would've been Auron from FFX, and a gnome horizon walker I'm playing takes off from Lift in the Stormlight Archives.

But those only came into play after I already had a class, race, and character style down :/

I'd been working towards two characters for D&D stuff since summer, and both characters are backburner'd.

First, Tabaxi Swords Bard. They were based on my therapist's cats and would be a dancing combatant, nimble and graceful and sharp. I made it for my DMs upcoming homebrew world we were gonna move into when our current campaign wraps up, but she's decided to extend our current campaign (now a lurching zombie with none of the original characters after next time we play, and have only done about three or four sessions since end of July when it used to be weekly) and make the new one Patrom-only and streamed.

I won't lie; I'm kind of happy not to play honestly. I've been unsatisfied with my roleplay ability for a while and I don't want to cast a pallor or underperform on friend's excitement on homebrew.

Second character is Finch, a Wildhunt Shifter Samurai with ravenish features, a mercenary that my wizard friend comes upon in Strahd after his bodyguard (my late barbarian Abbas) died in battle. He was gonna be another bodyguard, but a lot more sardonic and sassy, more opinionated. Was really excited to play him and almost spent money on a commission a few months ago.

Luckily, I'll save that money until I actually play a new character. DM switching from Strahd sidequest to Descent Into Avernus stuff, and neither my kitty nor my crow fit where my head pictures things. Plus, friend doing new character too instead of wizard so good time to spend another few weeks idly seeking inspiration.

Just a venty. Anyone else have similar troubles making things?

Absolutely not. The Flash line and Blue Beetle line have some of the best transfers in the business.

As far as Marvel goes though... oof. Ooof... Yeah, kinda. Marvel doesn't really mantle-pass at all, and if it does, it's usually only temporary until someone is brought back to life. Laura Kinney is a great example of someone who has taken on the Wolverine mantle, but Logan keeps coming back. Ben Reilly was cool until Peter Parker came right back. Sam Wilson wasn't in the Captain America role long before Steve de-aged and came back. Marvel... really doesn't do Legacy.

Actually, thinking about how Steel is a great example of a mantle-bearer without going supplanting the original in name and powers, Marvel does have a few actually.

Best: Tawfret
- Has such a good, horror atmosphere, some great spikes in difficulty, varied level design, and such good loredumps. No other world sticks out nearly as much.

Worst: Cerulean
- Watched a Let's Play up until Vela got out onto the endless blue plain and instantly grimaced in remembrance. I don't even need to continue (unless to maybe see Lupus' worlds and decide if something was better than Tawfret).

I'm using red to say it's not a white pizza. I'm honestly at a loss for terms at this point, because apparently I can't call it a normal pizza since that term is under contention. But yes, there's cheese unless you specify. Red sauce and cheese, throughout, in a very consistent fashion.

If you want a truly red pizza, though, tomato pie is a local specialty.

Red pizza and plain pizza are different things around here. I've never heard anyone use the term 'red pizza' unless they're referring to the Rhode Island-style.

I'm.understanding now, I think, red used to denote between a white sauce pizza and a red sauce (or even a bbq sauce), but a plain red pizza is a cheeseless pizza.

Regular coffee is not black, milkshake does not have ice cream.,

Also, another complaint about the game most people have (I don't personally but I get it) is that the music is pretty subpar compared to other tales games. But lots of tales games have sort of same-y soundtracks, courtesy of Sakuraba, so maybe it's just par for the course. Fury Sparks is tremendous though

That one town, though. D... the one Karol and the guilds are from. Daggerford? That music was awesome.
