one thing i prefer about western comics is that the fight scenes last a few panels majority of the time. for manga they last entire chapters and sometimes way more.

yeah honestly I was just basing it on the equalizer balancer thingy i use on computer sometimes. had to adjust the right side by -5db to even it out. Tho I used the Stax Amp's knob afterward and did it by ear
My left ear is stronger so I know there is an imbalance if the right side is overpowering.

I jiggled the cord already. I think that it is likely that the diaphragm is stuck to the stator. I can make the right side fart but not the left. The sr-007mk2 which I've applied blutac to seal up the vent port can pretty much fart both cups. A common solution i've read seems to be to discharge the headphone and then smack the cup with the problem to unstick the diaphragm. I already tried that though :(

Been dying to hear the STAX SR-009s for a while now. Unfortunately, it came in defective with a very noticeable imbalance between left and right channels (left driver about 5 db quieter). While the STAX amp that I have has a volume balance knob it is still pretty shitty that I'd have to use it on something this pricey ($4500). It also sucks that I may have to wait 2 months for the repaired headphone to arrive back to me (based on some forums i've been scouring; the original sr-009 has some known imbalance issue). In comparison, the defective Hifiman Arya that I RMAd during the peak of covid arrived back within 2 1/2 weeks.

Sound impression using volume balancing knob to even out the drivers:
It honestly sucks. The sr-007mk2 is roughly half the price of the sr-009s and sounds more pleasurable to my ears. Heck I'd even argue that the $15 CCA CRA and QKZ VK4 sound better than it (both are iems). Same case with about 80% of my collection. The sr-009s lacks bass and has really wonky midrange. I can deal with a lack of bass but if the midrange is fucked then the entire sound profile is ruined for me. A similar case is with the ZMF Verite and ZMF Verite Close which also have really wonky midrange so i hate them lol. The saving grace for the SR-009s IMO is that the treble sounds really prominent and well-extended but also smooth at the same time. Not many bright headphones seem to get that right (HD800s hurts, Focal Utopia hurts, DT990 hurts etc...). Sr-009s also has the interesting gimmick of giving me the illusion that sounds are not coming from a headphone but somewhere floating off in my room on CERTAIN tracks. Only the hd800s are comparable in this regard IMO. Overall I'd rate it at the bottom 20th percentile of my headphones atm. I still think it is worth keeping just because it sounds a lot different from the rest and is a different color from most of my stuff. The rest of my stuff is mostly in black (i do have a blue Panasonic earbud and the CCA CRA is clear white).

text message. the thought of having to use my voice makes my heart race so fast that my voice becomes crackly and higher pitch. i had to make a presentation on PowerPoint w/ my voice added in for a class and it was very tough. I couldn't say more than a few sentences without my voice getting all crackly and throat drying up. not even a few shots of liquor helped ease my nerves tbh. i still managed to do it after a few hours but it still sounded like i was really out of breath and dying after every word. im glad the teacher still gave me a decent grade maybe out of pity.

no i really only go outside to walk dog. yesterday was 50f and rainy and windy but today it is 30f and clear weather for some reason. i realize that 50f rainy and windy feel colder to me than even down to 20f without windy and rainy

the 1st one was fun imo. I never go too far in the main story because got sidetracked and did 60 hours of just killing dinos and upgrading equipment.

eventually i had to stop because wanted to wait for the new rtx 3000 cards to come out because the 2080ti doesn't run the game too well at 4k (chugs to mid 40s fps during rain). idk if any updates have improved the performance since then. ofc i couldnt find a rtx 3000 card because all got sold out during launch day. after that i just lost interest in the game.

The type of skiing most ppl do isnt that dangerous (beginner slopes that even kids can do). It safer than something like american football and rugby. The type of skiing pros or daredevils do is more dangerous tho
