Ah, so you're being defensive because you're making baseless assumptions about my intentions. Got it.

Also I'm convinced once it gets to that point people just like hearing incels guess about what their issues are, like I said. You say you have no sympathy for this but you have the energy to make the topic and engage people

Yes, I can talk about people I have little sympathy for. It's not difficult.

Reading comprehension is important.

"It's hard to garner much sympathy for people who are frustrated about being virgins, yet consider themselves too good to pay for p****."

Notice that the bolded does NOT say "starved for human companionship", which is a lot broader in meaning.

Well for starters, you should be wearing a condom anyway unless you're trying to have kids or willing to run the risk of an STD. Secondly, not all prostitutes are desperate street walkers like you probably have imagined. Reach out to a classy escort, or a dominatrix depending on how kinky you are. They usually conduct themselves professionally, with websites and everything.

A lot of the people complaining about the lack of sex aren't primarily concerned with the sex, whether or not they realize it themselves.

There's nothing wrong with wanting meaningful intimacy, but if you can't get laid with your looks/personality/status yet consider it beneath you to pay for lay, then what are your options? Try to make yourself more desirable, but if it isn't working and you want to at least experience the physicality of sex, then be realistic about your options.

It would certainly be a blow to the self esteem. To people with this problem, self esteem is a major problem already.

Losing a meaningless label, and replacing it with the fact that you've only managed any intimacy by exploiting someone in exchange for money. Not exactly something to be proud of.

Life is about perspective. If you're already framing the situation as "exploitation", then you've already lost.

For a lot of us, it isn't about the sex entirely. It's about being wanted. Prostitution doesn't fix any of the underlying issues, or make them more worth dating(likely the opposite actually).

It'd be no different than paying someone to pretend to be your friend when you're lonely. It's not real, it fixes nothing, and would likely just make you feel worse after.

The difficulty of getting someone to like you enough that they want to have sex with you is going to vary considerably from person to person, for a multitude of reasons. But if you've reached the point of becoming sexually frustrated, then it may be time to expand your horizon because having sex is a healthy part of the human experience and it doesn't necessarily have to involve affection. You can treat yourself to the experience of sex while still making efforts to increase your chances of being wanted, eventually getting laid the "natural" way. Why make it an uphill battle for yourself by demanding both simultaneously, if the odds are already stacked against you?

people who are frustrated about being virgins, yet consider themselves too good to pay for pussy.

Like bruh, is your pride really worth only getting your dick wet when you shower? Beggars can't always be choosers; either get it how you can or don't get it at all. Obviously it's more "dignified" to have someone give you play because they're genuinely into you, but at some point you should just treat yourself to the experience so you can at least know what it feels like. You're not gonna be any good at it anyway, whereas the paid and far more experienced provider will almost certainly rock your world. In a way, she's saving you from disappointing the person you actually DO want a connection with!

And besides, you can always continue to work on getting it organically afterwards. Nothing's ever stopping you from making efforts to increase your attractiveness.

I clarified what I meant and you're still doing this and exaggerating so yeah I don't really understand the point.

Your reasoning was always flawed, because it's silly to make general statements like "XYZ isn't funny" if you're only basing that assessment on a handful of jokes that the media is making a fuss over. To later assert that he's relying on these specific jokes to stay relevant directly implies that it's his bread & butter, as opposed to the fact that people simply think he's an overall funny guy.

I (the person posting this topic) do not care that people are trying to cancel Dave Chapelle (topic title). While I do not watch Dave Chapelle regularly, I have seen the jokes that people want to cancel him for (as discussed in this topic). Whether or not people want to cancel him for these jokes is up to them (again, essentially what I wrote in the topic title), but my problem with these jokes isn't that they are offensive, but rather that they are not funny at all (my first post in this topic).

You didn't say that his trans jokes are unfunny; you said HE'S unfunny, so much so that he's apparently "clinging to relevancy" by making trans jokes. Your reasoning is fallacious because Dave's comedy isn't comprised of just trans jokes, nor are they necessarily what keeps his relevancy afloat. Those jokes just happen to be the most controversial. If a comedian does a 45-minute set and 8 of those minutes are jokes that you don't find funny, does it mean that the comedian isn't funny just because those jokes get the most attention?

I mean, I get why the joke doesn't gel with you. I just can't help but wonder why his trans jokes in particular stand out as so egregious compared to everything else he says. It's Dave Chappelle. He's extremely edgy. Shock humor has always been part of his bread & butter. The first five minutes of the special features a joke about him enjoying his child molestation from a priest. He uses the N-word with the hard R, and doesn't mind that white people laugh. Why is the trans stuff suddenly when he crosses the line? It looks suspiciously selective.

Now is the part where anyone capable of introspection would shut up now and admit that they're wrong for defending a self admitted transphobe and do better in the future.

"Biological women" isn't a scientific term, have you ever had your phenotype and genotype tested? Have you tested that of every trans person? No. You're making a shit ton of assumptions and stating them as though they're 100% universal truths and that's as unscientific as you can get.

No, I am not. There is a biological difference between a person who's been female since birth, and a person who used to be male but transitioned. Why this reality ruffles so many feathers, I don't know.

And they aren't transwomen. It's two words. Trans women. Women who are also trans. The opposite is cis or cisgender. Cis women.

I get why some may be offended, but I also get the reasoning that they shouldnt be. I dont really have a horse in this race, because I try to look at everything from every angle and I see where both sides are coming from. Dave, IMO, is just doing the same thing hes done since day one. Hes an edgy comedian who makes fun of everyone. Hes not promoting anti-trans rhetoric; hes just willing to poke fun at them, in the same way he pokes fun at everyone else.

I don't hold grudges. Let's vehemently argue today and casually have a beer together tomorrow.
