I dont think people that havent paid rent are doing so maliciously. I think they were legit struggling and eventually just fell so far behind they gave up. Nobody wants to declare bankruptcy or face losing their place to live.

Its a mixed bag, just like anything else.

yes, some are struggling and are worried about not making rent payments and what can happen to their credit.

The ones that are doing it on purpose for a free ride couldnt care less about their credit score.
