You mean do really hot looking guys with success and game still occasionally pick up noticeably less attractive women for easy sex?
Uh yeah, in the same way hot women can easily use desperate men for foodie calls, gifts. etc.

It's the age old act of using fellow human beings as recreational utilities.
The hotties do not always require another hottie to get the results they want.
Sometimes they just look for an easy conquest for the ego points + rewards and call it a night.
Socializing can be exhausting for them too...

This, unfortunately, can give the approached underdogs the wrong idea that they are super hot themselves just because an exceptionally attractive person hooked up with them. Far from it. The underdogs just got used and dismissed out of convenience like a disposable cup.

What made you lose complete sympathy/respect for a friend?
Only case that's happened at the start of this year is coworker/friend of mine continuing to bellyache over her "lack" of dating options in men. She's an alright friend to me (as a gay man), but I've witnessed her performance trying to keep guys attracted to her and it's like watching a train wreck happen in front of me. Mostly her fault considering where she finds them and what her admittedly superficial priorities are. She keeps picking guys who will logically have little incentive to be exclusive with her and then acts confused when they do not want to be a boyfriend.

Meanwhile her brother, who I have also known for years, is legit happy living the solo life. He hooks up once in a while, but he's never really prioritized settling down. He's one of those types that's a hobbyist first, workaholic second (enjoys his job), and somewhere like 6th or 7th he's a romantic. Like dating is not a top priority for him and he's still fulfilled by his other interests. And his sister can not stand that. She's like the polar opposite of him and has been trying to sabotage his victories out of jealous spite. She's so butthurt about him not having the same insecurity that she's tried starting nasty rumors about her own brother so local girls won't hang with him. Did not work, but it's still a foul that she tried.

I told her I was straight up ashamed of her schadenfreude towards a family member who's not doing the same to her. Her bro has generally been supportive of her goals. I also told her she's in some serious need of self reflection over her dating dysfunctions if she's so casually dumps on a guy for being happy just because she's not. That's a red flag to other men like a fucking neon billboard...

It's not enough that I would dump her as a friend, but she's made it clear she's her own worst enemy.

Different brands of feminists have not agreed for decades (and trans issues have had little to with it as a whole).

Ethics has been a far more heated discussion among advocates of feminism for years. The contention has mostly been between human rights advocates who identify as feminists and gaslighting radicals who were really only out for themselves. Unfortunately, ALL of these people can be classified as feminists. Obviously people who are legit about protecting the rights of all human beings while keeping the receipts are not going to get along with grifters who exploit victimhood and ironically preach sexism as "empowerment".

For example: there's actually a ton of women rights activists who are also mothers that are not fans of policies that immediately presume their sons are perpetrators until proven otherwise. They're even less happy to hear about proposed legislation that sidesteps bothering to prove innocence altogether (a common position among certain other types of feminists). And yes, those other types DO count as feminists too. So it should not be shocking to hear these differing subgroups are at constant odds with each other.

Some of the biggest opponents to new legislation packaged as "pro-feminism" are educated feminists who are legit about gender equality, not grift. And by educated, I mean credentials OUTSIDE of women's studies, feminist talks, etc. There are literally female elites in power who are like nope to a lot of the extremist radfem agendas. You just don't hear much from or about them because Michael's point was correct: capitalism LOVES all the free advertising, recruitment, and passes offered by high level feminism. By nature, some capitalism is all about grift. And so is some politics.

ClockworkHare
01/04/22 5:17:03 AM

Most men do not bother to get married in the west, period.

Like barely any of the most attractive eligible bachelors are bothering to propose anymore either. They know they can get plenty of milk without buying the cow thanks to current American culture promoting the phenomena. And those high scale guys tend to influence other men by example, including the younger generation. Both western men and women willingly contribute to maintain these social trends that disincentivizes marriage. So there's little sense in either group complaining about what they basically choose to facilitate one way or another.

There's plenty of valid reasons most men are not rushing to get married in America anymore, no longer collectively suffering an identity crisis when they live without matrimony (unlike prior generations). Bachelor life in the current west is real cushy and competes HARD against married life now, no cap. Many single men in the U.S. have figured out how to still get dates, sex, and emotional fulfillment without a marriage contract. And they do this with modern women's consent.

So if some guys in that part of the world still get hung up on traditional naming conventions enough that they get turned off from pursuing marriage...oh well, don't worry about it. They're not anywhere near a majority. Most men in the west are not bothering to get hitched anyway. Not even the ones who literally get chased by eager brides-to-be.

Vengeance can lead to justice (ie: taking a violent criminal down before they harm again). However, not all vengeance is innately justified. The motivations for revenge are often arbitrary and do not always abide by morality. In many instances it can simply be reckless and cruel, like a vicious person seeking vengeance on a former victim who escaped and snitched.

Heroic vengeance does exist, but it's not a common event because the type of person who usually performs it is uncommon themselves.
Many people who seek revenge are merely doing it out of petty rage.

Playing devil's advocate: that could be argued for many ideologies, even longstanding popular ones.

However, I believe there comes a point in which the happiness and healthy productivity of households who have innocently practiced said beliefs for years without issue should take precedence.

If it's not encouraging belligerence or turning families into monsters, I really do not care if a holiday had tainted origins. How it's practiced today matters more. And I have not seen many people kill each other over Kwanzaa...

According to this interviewer, it is "misogynistic" that we have these height standards. But isn't the correct term "misandristic", since it's women who perpetuate the height standards in M/F relationships?
I really would not call it either, because it's a matter of preferences. And a person can have their dating preference WITHOUT it being innately rooted in hatred or fear. For example a guy who's generally polite and respectful towards female peers in his social circle is NOT automatically a woman-hater just because he's disinterested in dating obese women. He can still have nontoxic platonic relationships with obese women. He's just not hopping on the gravy train to date them, he's looking for someone else for that (the same right that the women typically have). Implying he was automatically toxic for that would also be saying that the women he passed up due to preference were somehow entitled to his time and he wronged them for not stepping up to give them a chance (which would be ridiculous). Nobody's entitled to dates. Nobody's a monster for maintaining their preferences in the more intimate areas of their life.

I do not hate on women having preferences regarding the men they're willing to date. That is their call, just like men can be equally selective in whom they date. However, I'm never interested in listening to anyone (men or women) bellyache when attractive partners don't call them back. If they lead with entitlement, are unwilling to self reflect, and refuse to even try bettering themselves as partners to the preferred sex, they should not expect much success. That habitual aversion to self analysis is a pivotal reason why they can not recognize good partners or know what to do with them anyway...

I would first research to see if there's any underlying "presumptions" or unintended messages people of said culture could jump to before committing to getting specifically inked. Something as trivial as skin tattoos can end up being bigger investments than some eager people realize.

I have known peers who lived in the U.S. and acted like big fans of their cultural heritage from other continents despite not experiencing any of it in person. Then they made some costly decisions to "celebrate" said heritage without doing some research only to find out during travel that "their people" in said other countries rolled their eyes and laughed at such modifications as "typical American" ignorance.

Not saying that's your deal here. I just suggest you check around before getting certain body mods and be honest with yourself about how far you're really willing to take it. Maybe examine how things for people turned out after taking the same plunge. What changes can happen, what maintenance if any is involved, etc.

$100 says her declaration of no good men and marrying her self, led to some vindictive POS just wanting to prove her wrong, by being a manipulative dick and pretending to genuinely love her.
What if she's a POS and it was a big part of why she went to the sad extent of announcing she married herself...?

big boobs =/= good heart

Whole thing was probably just another egotistical publicity stunt anyway.
