How can I prove this? Easily: when a game I want to play cannot be pirated, and I can list RDR2, Anno 1800, and other examples, I simply do not buy it. I could easily buy it. I have basically limitless money I could spend on gaming. I just don't want to. on principle. Buying would mean admitting defeat as a pirate. My pride is more important to me than some game I'll get bored off in under a week. I have on rare occasions bought a game, mostly online games because you don't really have a choice to "pirate" a game that depends on pvp servers, but sometimes if there is a good sale or something I might get a single player game I'm not forced to, because if you buy it, it can be more convenient in terms of updates and mods. Reasons to pirate: DLC heavy franchises, like the Sims or anything from Paradox, you'd have to be a fool not to pirate. Actually buying the game is a far inferior experience to pirating, because the pirate has the billion DLC all in 1 package, for free. The paycuck only gets the base game unless they paypig for the DLC. A lot of games are shitty and you'd regret buying them, so don't. I bought Diablo 3 on launch. Never again. I've pirated even very good games, like the Witcher 3. Awesome game. Even better that I didn't have to pay for it. 10/10 would pirate again. I haven't pirated Cyberpunk yet because I'm waiting for more patches and DLC etc. I'll pirate it eventually when I feel like it. People say "if you like a game, buy it, support the developers". Yeah. Great advice. YOU do that. Keep paycucking so I can keep paying for free. This is actually how f2p games work except the games are rigged to give you unfair advantages against players like me in pvp. If a game is too p2w to the point where my existence in the game is just there to get stomped by the paypigs, then I simply quit. If everyone was like me, a lot of AAA games would not exist. Consoles sure as fuck would not exist. And nothing of value would be lost. --- To be alive... to walk this earth... That's the real curse, right there.
