The first 5ish years I wasnt consistently playing. I wasnt taking it too seriously. Near the end of high school I took a guitar class and thats when I started to get better and play every day. I attended the guitar class for only 2 years. Around 2020 is when I got to the professional level and I get better every year. Im still learning, and I play for about 2 hours a day. The beginning is a slow process so enjoy what you do, or youll lose motivation. I definitely lost motivation before and had writers block. May never happen, but who knows. I first started out on the guitar with metal. Now I mostly play fingerstyle acoustic, but sometimes I dab back into metal and rock. I just find fingerstyle to be more fun and challenging. Do you know anything about the guitar? Tunings? Notes? Chords? Any theory? I guess you should start with tabs and just get the hang of it.
