Oh yeah, the trailer music is super generic lol.

That's missing and personally, I feel like the connection to the movies is missing. I just expected something grander with half a billion for season 1 + half a billion for the rights.

Idk, both the MCU and Star Wars (which is 45 years old) are actually flourishing by keeping things connected.

If only the writers had some way of telling us this what they were going for.
I think it was conveyed well, though subtle. The stuff he said to Krrsantan about it being not worth it working for assholes like the Hutts, which went back to Jabba. Fett fell while helping Jabba. Krrsantan was left to be killed because he failed his job in service of Jabba's cousins.

GeneralKenobi85 posted...
You know there was something I questioned about Boba's motivations in this show. It seemed like he was pissed off that he nearly died in service to Jabba. But shouldn't he be blaming himself for that and not necessarily Jabba? Did he really have any obligation to stay around after delivering Solo to him before ROTJ? He even says to Fennec something along the lines of he doesn't want bounty hunters to get killed after being caught up in the plots of bad employers. But his relationship with Jabba seems like one he brought upon himself.
The reason Fett is in Jabba's Palace in RotJ is because he had just finished another job for Jabba and was just cooling off. You can see he's flirting with the dancers and probably just wanted some ass before he left. It has nothing to do with Solo lol.

That was weak, but not that bad. Of course, the best parts were mostly all Mando. Though Fett handing Cad Bane his ass was pretty nice and the Rancor was cool with the first droid.

Otherwise, way too much running around and aimlessly shooting. I have a crazy sound system and this episode was shaking the entire time, which got a bit annoying.

They should have saved Grogu's return till Mando S3. I thought that is what they were going for since it was obvious what he was going to do.

As for Fett, I don't think it was the Tuskens that really changed him. It was more like being eaten by the Sarlacc and pretty much being dead being the real catalyst and the Tuskens reinforced it. Personally, I didn't mind him going good.

The lightsaber stuff was addressed before. In the Disney canon, there's a lightsaber in Yoda's hut on Dagobah. In the Darth Vader comic, it's shown that Mas Amedda destroyed all the lightsabers, specifically throwing in Yoda's last.

So the writer was asked about that and he said that lightsaber was either a fake that Palapatine used to make a point, or the lightsaber on Dagobah was just another Yoda made.

Someone from the story group confirmed that Yoda had many lightsabers.

Interesting direction they're going with this. Seems like they got big plans for the post-RotJ era. It's probably better to just consider these shows as one big Star Wars show, with Din kind of being the Tony Stark.

I need to watch this one again because it was just too much lol.

but I don't know any fan who wants to see Luke Skywalker that isn't Mark Hamill.
I mean, yeah, he's CGI, but it's still Mark Hamill voicing him.

I now fully believe Luke will meet Anakin's Force ghost in one of the future shows like Ahsoka. Both Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen seem like they're down for more Star Wars.

jpenny2 posted...
I was thinking something similar. Luke is supposed to be starting this new generation of Jedi, and he's just going to repeat the stupid mistakes of the past. This was by far my favorite episode so far, but it ended on a really bad note.
Luke is changing things up. Basically, he wants that person isolated during training, and then once that's done, they can go back to their lives. I'm assuming this was also the plan for Ben Solo, otherwise, he would have to fully cut off Han and Leia.

The issue here seems to be specifically because of Grogu. He ages slowly and it's gonna take him much longer to reach completion. That could be a very long time for Din as Luke said.

While what you're saying is true, it's not likely to happen. That's what they weigh when deciding to accept or not accept deals like this. The case against them is very strong so there is no need to make a deal on the off chance they get found not guilty.
Prosecutions don't really offer pleas because they think their chances are good or bad. They offer it to save money and get it over with and to move on to the next case. Almost everybody gets offered a plea at first.

The defendants would be motivated by chances way more. Meaning if they took it, they expect to lose in the actual trial.

This is a pretty bold deal to begin with. They're basically pleading guilty to the actual charges from what I've gathered, instead of something much lower. The state to Federal prison change being the only condition. So it's a guaranteed conviction.

Compared to the costs and chances of getting off. I mean, it serves no purpose here to go through that when you basically got them twice over.

They have life without parole and in Georgia, that means life without parole.

The only way they are ever getting out is through appeal/pardon or outright escaping. A plea deal for Federal hate crime charges cuts off the appeal route because they're still pleading to something with Federal prison time. A trial could end up being not guilty and if they win the state appeal, they walk.

The benefit to them here is that both spend 30 years in Federal prison, which is much nicer than state prison and they wouldn't have to be in protective custody or solitary like in state. The father dies in Federal and the son is moved to state after 30 years.

By going to trial now, they're not only wasting millions for nothing, they've opened up the door to possibly get out. Stupid move.

Pogo told him to fuck off several times before he blocked him. This prompted Rebel to make a topic bitching about being blocked and continuing to accuse him of being alt-right. Rebel was then banned.

Then shock made a topic acting like the ban was extremely unfair when it's obviously harassment and even if Rebel hadn't lost 20 accounts, would probably still be warned.

Personally, I think this episode was always the plan. Kathleen Kennedy said that the next chapter of the Mandalorian would come out December 2021. This was 2 weeks before the S2 finale where Book of Boba Fett was revealed.

Furthermore, Favreau clarified that while it's own show and that season 3 of The Mandalorian was still happening, internally, this show was labeled starting with episode "301" instead of "101". And that it's more of a season 2.5 to them.

Also Kathleen Kennedy said all these characters are ultimately connected to Din Djarin and that all the shows are eventually heading towards a major crossover event.

But yeah, Fett was pretty fierce in Mandalorian, but he's been slacking hard here. Feel like it may be a budget thing maybe.

More like GF doesn't have a choice because they need to release games on a schedule with the anime and new merchandise. The Pokemon Company won't let the entire system just pause without new material for a few years while GF works on a game, especially when the games sell well regardless.
There's no reason they had to release Arceus this early. Like, they literally followed their usual plan and a remake like BDSP is considered a 1-2 year "generation".

They had till next November to work on it at the very least or outsource Let's Go Johto or whatever for 2022 and then release it in 2023. The other stuff doesn't track because everything can easily be attributed to BDSP outside new forms since it's all from Gen 4.

Like, Nintendo knows the drill, and the only people aside from GF themselves they answer to is Nintendo. Nintendo is probably the first people to understand good shit takes time, especially if you're trying to be thrifty.

I wouldn't say flawlessly, but there's obviously a difference in philosophy between GF and Nintendo, and both rely on being cheap.

Nintendo will take their sweet fucking time to release something. GF couldn't give 2 shits because they not only have an army of Nintendo fanboys, but also Pokemon being huge with casuals that don't care.

But they obviously knew Arceus was worse than their usual effort. Hence the January release.

Him running off into the sunset was weird and hilarious. Also, I feel like they're playing the Hutts off like they're tricking Fett, but I think they genuinely think fighting is bad for business and are gone.

You probably know me as the guy who can't stop helping stray cats and their kittens.

So I've been seeing this super chubby cat around the past few weeks around my yard and I walked into my bedroom to grab something and swore I heard the sound of baby kittens meowing outside the window. So I called my gf over and she confirmed she's hearing them too.

I told her to wait till the morning to go check on them because of the cold and raccoons, since she's totally down for these things. But.... I just took care of 3 over the summer and lost 2 of them. The whole thing is a lot of work and is mentally draining. We were both depressed for like over a month since the first loss was at 8 days old, but the 2nd loss was almost 3 months old. I miss that guy so much, fuck. He passed very depressingly.

But........ I feel so bad since it's about to hit 10F on Tuesday, which means certain death. Another issue would be that I haven't befriended the mother like with past ones during warm weather. So we'd have to steal them and feed them ourselves.

Idk, I guess I'm just kind of ranting and looking for possible thoughts.
