Scrubs is my all time favourite series and so for me I think the hits far FAR outweigh the misses. | JaiCSC 10/11/21 1:39:43 PM #10 | Eh... OK I'm on the penultimate episode and it's only been alright. Looking at some of the comments maybe the home stretch takes it to a new level. It's not that comparable but it's better than than Haunting of Bly Manor. Hill House is still Mike Flanagan's best Netflix series, by miles. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] I'm in agreement with that. I was raised as a Hindu and I'm still quite religious in my adult life and some conversations,scenes and behaviours have resonated and felt similar. --- I Shot the Sheriff. |

| JaiCSC 09/17/21 8:34:26 AM #10 | It wasn't my favourite of the books, still isn't, but I'm warmed up to it a good amount over the years. Umbridge is the best villain in the series, It clicked that she's Harry Potter's take on Nurse Ratched, and I do like the world building and so much of the mysteries since the start finally fell into place, however it's still very bloated. It's reads very padded, emotionally repetitive and drawn out and near character assassination left right and centre. I think this was the height of Rowling's editors not willing or being scared of asking her to trim and rewrite things. The film is one of my favourites. It trimmed a lot a lot, showed didn't tell, still had it's awe inspiring magic scenes and reframed a couple of story beats that I vastly preferred than how it's was portrayed in the book. --- I Shot the Sheriff. |

| JaiCSC 08/30/21 6:33:37 PM #5 | Preposterous! Next you'll be proclaiming that The Hunchback of Notre Dame is based on the novel by Victor Hugo, delving into themes of classism and xenophobia. In addition to how figures who declared themselves most righteous stewards of decency, order and god can in fact be monstrous figures masking their corruption, cruelty and horrible acts by doing so in the name of justice and using that justification to absolve himself from punishment when they give into the few things that they declare sinful. That or the more child friendly message of not judging a book by its cover. --- I Shot the Sheriff. |
