I also have a love-hate relationships with R8s. One of my neighbours (well, down the street) has a V10 R8 and I see it most days when I go for my jog round the park. Sometimes I think hmm, cool, most times I think meh, boring. I've driven a few R8s (both V8 and V10) and I get the appeal, it's just not for me. I had a GT-R at the time and just thought it was so much more of an event than an Audi that drove like a 1.9TDI A3.

I'm surprised that y'all feel the TT is too bloated and slow. Too wide maybe, but the thing absolutely rips when you let her have some room. Then again I have the Mk3 so maybe it's a little different.
Ha, you know me mate, I'm a little biased.

That said, I can imagine the mk3 is leaps and bounds above the mk1 which was just a Golf in a pretty dress.

Yay thread resurrection

I had a mk1 TT many years back. Did you ever have the 3.2 V(R)6 version? I wasn't that enamoured with it, whereas when I had a Golf GTi I absolutely loved it. The heavier engine didn't have the extra power or weight balancing to make it worth it - plus the 225 was so easy to tune up to 250+bhp.

121,000
28,000
134,000
64,000
10,000

All in good condition for their mileage and age. For example the 121,000 mile car is a Mercedes ML63 AMG - but it's mechanically better than the 80,000 mile example I drove before buying this one.

Ha, thanks for the comments. I 100% understand the bike analogy - I have cars that'll do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, and this little dinky thing embarked on a voyage to 60mph 9 years ago... we're still waiting! Hah. It's more fun to drive slower stuff at 10/10ths rather than faster machinery at 3/10ths. Completely with you.

How much did it cost
Just shy of $10,000 USD

Does it seat two people? Kind of looks like it doesn't.
It does! The passenger sits behind the driver. Although, it's really not designed as a 2-seater. I'm not a tall guy so people behind me will have a little bit of room, but it's still pretty claustrophobic back there. Also, as the passengers legs are open, best not to wear a skirt.

Hooray for Smart cars! Guess you have a ForTwo?

Haha I didn't realise I hadn't mentioned it. This little pocket toy is a Renault Twizy.

Edit: I have a classic Mini in my garage. That's probably on par with the Smart!

Build it however you want, but as soon as it's cooked and assembled, flip it upside down. That way, the extras drop onto the plate rather than your shirt.

It gets a dab of oppo on in the wet, great fun. Too slow for drifty stuff though.

1. What's the range?
2. How fast does it go?
3. Is it fully street legal?
4. Does it have blu tooth/speakers/etc?
  1. About 40-50 miles.
  2. I've hit 62mph, don't think it has much more in it than that.
  3. Yep.
  4. It has a pair of bluetooth speakers above my head. Lacking in bass but loud enough for driving around.
  5. (bonus!) costs around 15p / 20 cents to fill up from empty.

I have two sets of tyres in my garage for my Mini.

The current set on the car is for summer driving.

One set is for winter driving.

The other set is on lightweight wheels and are track-only tyres.

I have the standard Meridian 770W / 12 speaker system in my Jaguar.

I also have the standard Harman/Kardon 830W / 14 speaker system in my AMG.

They're decent.

My Mini has JBL speakers in the back (nothing in the front) and it's as good as you can get in a car like that.
