They were a good band live though. My friend so has the Super Audio CD and it sounds amazing. I'm sad that format didn't survive.

I def get not forking out for El Cielo, that one is ridiculous. I was lucky enough to catch pretty much every official drop from then on and got both the first marble green and second black pressings of CWA. I dig Parrot and do want to get that on vinyl, but Chuckles is pretty bad. Didn't stop me from getting it on a $15 sale haha. I'm thinking about picking up the SA-CD, I've only read praise about that version and I listen to an old mp3 download so it'd be nice to upgrade to a reference digital version. Unfortunately have not seen them live yet, hope to someday if the stars align. One of their last tours in Eurpore they did a bunch of shows with El Cielo and CWA front to back on alternating days... godamn I wish I was there.

The app makes this a hell of a lot easier. Scan the barcode and it usually brings up the correct pressing, but you should do bit of double and triple checking though. Be sure the jacket and labels match that release, and sometimes check the matrix etchings in the dead wax between the recording and the label. If you want to sell - or just know what you actually have - you want to be sure you're selling the correct thing as pressings and variants can have wildy different values.

I have all my music media logged, but the ~375 cds/VHS/DVD/BD/etc isn't worth a whole lot.

Not surprised that the box sets are worth so much, but it is still surprising that El Cielo is. Big fan of the band, I bought that for like $30 from their site in 2012, before I even had a turntable.

On an average day she uses 0 makeup, maybe a little eyeliner if we're heading out (before COVID, obviously not socializing while there's still a pandemic). It's fabulous and I'd find it hard to be with someone who has to literally paint their face all the time.

If you generally enjoy the MCU, yes. It's not really connected to anything yet, but it is setting up more cosmic stuff for future movies. Nice to have essentially a standalone for a change.

Virtually none of this festival is from the 90s. This is 2002-2012 emo/pop punk lineup, not a 1997-2007 boy band/Disney pop lineup.

I never got into the emo/pop punk stuff as it was gaining traction when I was in uni/just after, so there's only a couple bands I'd like to see there. Hell, I only recognize about 1/3 of the entire thing. My sister, who is 10 years younger than me, would likely love this though. Hope anyone that goes has a blast!

Wouldn't necessarily say that, but it's not also not necessarily wrong either.

As far I remember, Loki defines variants as versions of characters that do something to change Kang's "sacred timeline" (ie the MCU as we've seen so far) in a big enough way that allows for the more evil Kangs to pop up instead of that "benevolent" one, which is why they are trimmed. The Loki we watch in Loki is not the same Loki that we see in Ragnarock; the show Loki is a variant and the movie Loki is not.

Pedantic for sure, but the term was introduced a specific way and hasn't been used otherwise in-world.

Yeah, no. Murdock shows up after Peter gets arrested as his public defender. Then after they are released and apply/fail to get in MIT, that's when Strange casts the spell. There was no spell cast before the movie.

Marvel Netflix was always loosely based in the MCU. The battle of New York had a big influence on Marvel Netflix. It is possible that Kingpin and Daredevil are variants, but as of right now they can still fit in naturally.

All the old Netflix/tv shows are absolutely based on the MCU. However, the inverse is not true and none of the movies reference anything from the shows due to the vast production differences between Feige and Perlmutter. I maintain that Netflix is not canon, just multiverse adjacent.

Also, I don't think DD and Kingpin are variants using the Loki definition; they're not acting out of their timeline. They are merely MCU characters that look like and have many similar experiences to the Netflix ones but from the MCU not the Netflix alternate universe, like how Earth 616 is different from the MCU (even though Mysterio mistakenly calls it just that in Far From Home).

This. The first season in general isn't too horrible, but the lead actor is just the fucking worst, enough that we never bothered with the second season. I've heard it better because he isn't the main focus. Eh.

Definitely going to finish that third season of Daredevil though. They're absolutely going to pull from it going forward, even if the show won't likely be canon.

Murdock was in the movie before Strange's spells, so it wasn't caused by that. I think the Netflix shows will be alternate realities from the MCU, like the rest of NWH, and these MCU versions will take the best aspects from the Netflix shows. I don't think those will ever be MCU canon, just multiverse adjacent.

That's during the Spidey/Strange fight over the cube in the mirror universe:

"I've been hanging over the Grand Canyon for 18 hours!"

The version in the trailer is slightly different from the actual release though. Could be the CG wasn't done back then, could be that they didn't want to show exactly the setting for the fight.

Absolutely not. Yes, this movie has major implications for the MCU, but it also absolutely a movie about Spider-Man.

I'm always amazed that only about half the theatre stays for the mid credits scene... like, this series is literally famous for post credits scenes.

And then two thirds of the remaining people leave before the second post credit scene... how could you know about one but not two?

But yes, the movie is so fucking good. Love the theatre reactions.

Half the users in here are saying DD might be canon in the future due to recent announcements.

Crossover actors does not make the old show canon, it just means they agree with the casting.

I doubt the Netflix shows will ever be canon outside of the multiverse tangentially linking them.

Just to reiterate, none of these are MCU canon and are not required viewing in any way. Feige and guy running the old Marvel tv studio did not agree and Feige essentially ignored all those shows while producing the movies. Easiest way to picture it is they are all spinoff multiverses after the Incident in Avengers. Yes, some plot threads are the same and there are some same actors, but they don't count.

Only the D+ shows are MCU canon, and I highly suggest watching all of them, though you can skip F&tWS as it has the least to do with the larger MCU story going forward. WV and Loki are absolute must-watches, and Hawkeye is really good so far.

Classic rock is a radio format, not a genre in the regular sense. It started playing music, specifically rock, from 30+ years previous. Take 30+ years away from now and you get 80s/90s bands. Won't be long before the aughts take a bigger percentage.
