Companies used this as an excuse to massively increase prices and if the virus did one good thing, it was to make us realize that working slave labor for non-livable wages isnt appealing. Corporations and business owners are intentionally short staffing and trying to blame it on the workforce not wanting to work. They will have twenty of thirty people working there, but only let three people work at a time when they normally would have eight. Then they cut back store hours because they want to pay the workers late. It doesnt matter if you like shopping late, you are forced to go eventually, so they get your money one way or another. I think he scheduled an appointment at Walgreens. They actually wouldnt let his group on the plane on day one and they almost missed the timeframe. It snows and then ice forms and its dangerous to go out, even to the mailbox or something. Its dangerous to drive. It really makes me feel like Im wasting time because of the days when youve completely prepared and all you can do is just sit there. The worst is when it lasts from November through May. Then it creates this thing where everyone in town tries to do their shopping before it snows, so they wont have to go out in the snow, but it basically forces everyone into the store at the same time and then everything is bought up. --- So long, Thanks for all the fish! |
