You run around and do menial tasks or put the ground work in weakening the big bad just for someone more important to show up and steal the show. WoW was always good at lore and world building but ever since this shift to character based stories that game has fumbled. Blizzard writes bad characters but good worlds. You must not have seen many games then if Tales of Arise DLC is the worst you have ever seen. The bad thing about the DLC is that the Costumes come with Titles that have skills in them. I'm 15 hours in playing on the hardest difficulty and have not once felt pressured to grind or buy the EXP, Gald or Level DLC. IIRC, its the end times and Lightning needs to save everyone I believe you could freely choose which of the zones you went to there was a timer but I found that it didn't really matter I think I ended the game with 2 remaining days.
