The bans actually worked. Dog-bite fatalities were rising rapidly with the popularization of pit bulls. After the ban the fatalities dropped again.

I live in basically the only Scandinavian country that hasn't banned shitbulls. Seen two of them in my neighborhood. One looked to be a purebred pitbull owned by a really tough and strong looking guy with a robust looking leash which the guy kept short and in a tight grip, but the other one, which I think might have been a Staff Terrier was being led around by a lady in her 50s or 60s who looked like she could be blown over by a stiff breeze. No way in hell she'd be able to stop the creature if it decided to go full pitbull and start chewing off a child's face.

The "proud boys" in question turned out to be largely local old ladies. The outlets reporting that the people being attacked were proud boys were the same ones reporting that the incident was a hoax.

It's real. The person in question apparently has 40 incidents filed in courts over the course of three decades, and is a registered sex offender. LAPD said that the offender claimed to identify as a woman in order to access womens' spaces. Legally registered as female in the state of California.

From what I've read charges have been filed. From what little I know of the American justice system we have months to wait before we see a conviction.
